Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 853

“If you weren't completely unhinged, you wouldn't be updating me on Finnian's love life. I have nothing to do with him. Who he dates is none of my business. So, unless there's something wrong with your brain, why bring it up to me?”

Antonia seethed. Amara was unbelievably arrogant—how dare she hurl insults without a second thought?

Yet, Antonia struggled to find a comeback.

Even though Finnian's dynamic with Amara was complicated, the rumors always painted Finnian as the one chasing after Amara, not the other way around.

Which made Amara's absolute indifference impossible to argue against.

“You seriously don't care about him at all? I don't believe it!”

Unwilling to lose the upper hand, Antonia sneered. “Finnian is flawless. There's no way you aren't completely obsessed with him. Stop pretending.”

Amara genuinely thought the girl had lost it. Was she just making things up to win an argument?

“Finnian has his strong points, sure,” Amara said evenly. “But there are plenty of incredible men out there. I happen to like someone else who is just as successful. Why on earth would I have to be obsessed with Finnian?”

She didn't name Keith specifically, but given the context, anyone would assume she meant him. It was a calculated move to shut Antonia up for good.

Predictably, Antonia's face fell.

It was true—Amara and Keith had almost gotten married, and they still spent every day together on set. Keith clearly adored her. So what was really going on between them?

The more Antonia thought about it, the more her blood boiled.

Finnian stood just a few feet away. His expression was dangerously dark, his predatory gaze locked onto her.

“Finnian... what are you doing here?”

Antonia bit her lip, suddenly looking like a cornered victim.

How long had he been standing there? Was he really yelling at her?

Finnian possessed an inherently dominant aura. When he directed that kind of unbridled rage at someone, it was suffocating.

Having grown up hearing legends about his ruthless business tactics, Antonia worshipped him—but she was also deeply terrified of him. The full weight of his fury left her trembling.
