Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 863

"Finnian, I need to ask you something," she demanded stubbornly, staring right at him. "What exactly is your relationship with Amara? Why are you so protective of her?"

Had Emma not assured her that Finnian adored her? Yet here he was, repeatedly reprimanding her for Amara's sake. She was genuinely hurt and needed an answer.

Finnian frowned. In his eyes, Antonia was being utterly unreasonable.

Without missing a beat, he declared, "Amara is my future wife."

Having dropped that bombshell, he completely ignored Amara's deeply flushed, furious face, as well as Antonia's shell-shocked expression, and dragged Amara away.

The moment they stepped into the private lounge, Finnian's restraint snapped. He pinned Amara against the wall and kissed her with punishing force.

Amara had already been seething over what he had just announced to Antonia. Now, being shoved against a wall and kissed without a single word of explanation sent her over the edge. Furious, she struck his shoulders and kicked at his legs.

She desperately wanted him to let go, but all that escaped her lips were muffled protests. The helplessness only fueled her raging indignation.

After kissing her thoroughly, Finnian finally felt the tightness in his chest ease. He pulled back.

Amara's lips were bruised and crimson from his force. Her eyes were glistening with unshed tears, giving her a fragile, delicate look that only intensified his predatory instincts.

He reached out and gently caress her cheek. "You're so beautiful like this, Amara. I love seeing you this way. But then again, I love every side of you."

He had fallen for her long before she had ever taken off her mask. He could proudly say his feelings were deeply rooted. He didn't just love her face; he loved her soul.

Amara felt entirely violated. Without a second thought, she slapped him hard across the face.
