She refused to look at him anymore. Done with the conversation, she shut the door right in his face.

Amara didn't know if Finnian walked away immediately, but she turned back and resumed talking to Keith.

The encounter left her visibly drained. Seeing her mood plummet, Keith offered a few soft words of comfort before taking his leave.

After sitting in the quiet lounge for a while, Amara suddenly felt the urge to talk to Elysia and headed over to find her.

As soon as they met, Amara sighed. "Finnian came looking for me again..."

She recounted the tense showdown between Keith and Finnian. Elysia listened closely, then said, "You're absolutely certain you're done with Finnian, right?"

Amara nodded, and Elysia pressed on. "Then let's handle the baby situation first. When are you booking the procedure?"

She knew that as long as Amara was pregnant, Finnian would keep showing up. The only way to cut the cord was to get it over with.

"How about now?" Amara suggested. "These things require appointments anyway. We can see what dates they have available."

Elysia had previously mentioned they should use the same hospital where she had been treated, since she was already on a first-name basis with the attending physician.

Elysia nodded. "Let's go." They headed out together.

At the hospital, they went through the standard check-in process and met with the doctor. Amara clearly stated her intention to terminate the pregnancy.
