Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 908

Before he even touched her, Amara felt a suffocating, predatory aura sweeping over her. A second later, her arm was locked in a brutal grip.

Her heart dropped into her stomach. She spun around and was instantly met with Finnian's livid face.

He was still in his tailored suit, his chest heaving with ragged breaths, proving he had sprinted all the way here.

His eyes burned with a glacial, terrifying rage. He stared at her with the intensity of a predatory beast about to lose its prized prey. The sheer dominance radiating from him made the air feel dangerously thin.

Amara's heart hammered against her ribs. Pure survival instinct kicked in, and she violently tried to yank her arm free. "What are you doing?!"

She tried to rip herself away, but Finnian's grip was immovable.

He hauled her two steps backward, his face inches from hers. His voice dropped into a lethal, silken whisper. "You want to abort the baby? Amara, you want to abort my baby?"

"..."

His tone was eerily calm, yet it sent a violent shiver straight down her spine.

Amara felt a flash of primal fear, like a child caught committing a terrible crime. Panic drummed in her chest, and a cold sweat broke out across her skin.

But reality quickly snapped her back. It was her body. They were divorced. She had every legal and moral right to do whatever she wanted. Why the hell was she scared of him?

She set her jaw, wrenched her arm with all her strength, and shoved him back. "Yes, I'm getting an abortion! And it's not your baby, it's mine. Don't you dare talk to me like you own me."

"..."

Finnian stared at her, her defiant words stabbing him with an agonizing mix of fury and devastation.
