Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 934

Amara couldn't stand being in the same room with him anymore. Her voice hardened. "Take your things and leave, Mr. Everly. I'm not eating your food, and I don't need your money or your equity stake."

"I have my own two hands. I can make my own living, and I only want to spend the money I earn."

"I don't want this child, so there's no need for any 'security.'"

"That's all I have to say. Please leave. I have to get back to work."

With that, Amara grabbed her notebook and pen and walked out, intending to go watch the shooting on set.

But the moment she stepped out, she bumped right into Antonia Everly standing by the door.

Who knew what Antonia was doing lurking out there, but when Amara suddenly emerged, Antonia clearly jumped, looking flushed and angry at being caught.

Amara frowned. What was she doing here?

Had she seen Finnian come in and decided to eavesdrop?

Antonia was a wealthy socialite; she shouldn't have been stooping to something as tacky as pressing her ear against a door.

But she was definitely waiting for Finnian, and she was probably here on Emma Everly's orders to spy on them.

The thought irritated Amara to no end.

"What are you doing here?" Amara demanded bluntly. "Do you need something?"

Antonia shot a glare at Amara, then peered past her into the lounge where Finnian was still standing. Her face twisted with indignation.

Judging by Antonia's expression, anyone who didn't know better would think she was Finnian's jealous ex-girlfriend rather than his cousin.
