That afternoon, Charlene received a call from Jasmine. The little girl wanted to go out for dinner and asked if Charlene could join her. Jasmine had been on her school break for several days, but Charlene had been so swamped with work that she hadn't had a chance to spend time with her.
Charlene already knew that Jasmine had gone out with Vesta a couple of days ago. Since she happened to be free that evening, she readily agreed.
Later that night, she drove to the address Jasmine had sent her. Just as she got out of the car, Jasmine came running toward her from a short distance away, with Thorne following close behind.
Charlene paused for a beat when she saw Thorne.
As Jasmine threw her arms around her, Charlene smoothed the girl's hair and bent down to chat with her. Once their initial greetings were over, Thorne finally spoke up. "It's cold out here. Let's go inside."
Without a word, Charlene let Jasmine lead her into the restaurant. Both she and Thorne had dined there before, so the manager recognized them. The manager's eyes widened in shock to see them arrive together, especially when "Mr. Henderson's daughter" was so affectionately holding Charlene's hand. It seemed he never imagined the two of them had such a close private connection.
Charlene noticed the astonishment in the manager's gaze. She had been surprised enough when Thorne had joined her and Jasmine for a shopping trip a while back. Now, he was out with them again, making no effort to hide it. It was as if he truly didn't care if their relationship was exposed.
Once they were settled in a private room and had ordered, Charlene and Jasmine did most of the talking. Thorne only chimed in occasionally, content to simply watch them interact. Before the food arrived, Jasmine excused herself to go to the restroom.
Thorne set down his glass, his gaze landing on Charlene. "Have you thought about what I said? About not getting divorced, for now?"
"I'm fine with that," Charlene replied.
Her answer didn't seem to surprise him. He simply nodded in acknowledgement, and they fell back into silence. A few moments later, Jasmine returned, and conversation filled the room once more.

Gosh, this is excruciating ! The slow pace made me leave this for over 3 months. Was just taking a peek and not much development. Btw they have now made this into a 3hr 40 min long drama.Available on daily motion under, the name, next chapter without you. But all the other fringe characters such as York Granger Gaylord are missing in the movie. Ending is very satisfying, practical and apt. She chooses to leave thorne and jasmine and be with Stewart. Vesta and family are inter national wanted Criminals. Not sure if they replicate the same on here. As this book is now on the app for more than 9 months, have a feeling it'll be another 6 to 9 months before this is completed!...

Can't wait to read where Charlene will start another relationship... God for is she gets back with Thorne... She needs to be with York or Gaylord (to annoy vesta) or granger (to annoy Thorne)...
I know its ur story and u obviously have ur own plot line and all and have every right to build the story as u like but what writer provide isnt just entertainment, but they shape the narrative of young minds. So I would say that romanticing cheating is, or rather THORNE'S behaviour, wrong for all the reasons..give york a chance ..that will be way more satisfying...again all of this is just my point of view but if charlene and thorne get back together, its not the story im looking for...
