Unknown Divorce Revelation Beyond Time (Charlene and Thorne) novel Chapter 708

Because of the relentless messages, Charlene knew Vesta was discharged on Thursday.

On Friday evening, Thorne, Vesta, Jasmine, Granger, and Moran all went out to celebrate her recovery with a lavish dinner.

Given how glued Jasmine had been to Vesta all week, Charlene assumed she wouldn't see her daughter at all this weekend. To her surprise, Jasmine bounded into the Ross residence on Saturday morning.

"Mom, I'm here!"

Charlene affectionately ruffled her hair, replying with a soft "Mhm." Acting as though she had no idea Jasmine had spent the entire week with Vesta, she asked, "Where do you want to go today?"

Jasmine hugged her waist and looked up. "What about you, Mom? Where do you want to go?"

"Whatever you want to do."

They spent the entire morning out and about. Just as they picked a restaurant for lunch, Charlene's phone buzzed with another photo and text.

The picture showed Thorne having a meal with the Hawkins and Spencer families. Judging by the background, they weren't at a restaurant; they were dining in someone's home.

The text read: [Thorne came over early today to have lunch with my cousin. Your daughter went to see you today, didn't she? You don't actually think she went because she missed you, do you? When she found out Thorne was coming here, she begged to tag along. He had to spend ages coaxing her before she finally gave up.]

"Mom, what are you looking at?" Jasmine leaned in.

Charlene locked her screen, her expression perfectly serene. "Nothing."

Jasmine ended up spending Sunday at the Ross residence as well.

Naturally, Sunday brought a fresh wave of anonymous photos. Charlene barely glanced at them, but the sheer volume of notifications made it painstakingly clear that Thorne had taken Vesta out on a romantic date.

Jasmine mentioned wanting a specific home-cooked meal, so Charlene prepped all the ingredients to make it for dinner. But at four in the afternoon, Jasmine received a phone call.

She hung up and looked at Charlene apologetically. "Mom, Dad just said Great-Grandma Irma wants us to go back to the main house for dinner."

"Okay," Charlene nodded. "I understand."

Jasmine looked visibly torn, having assumed she was staying for dinner. But before she could dwell on it, the car Thorne dispatched pulled up to the curb. She quickly said goodbye to Charlene and the rest of the Ross family and climbed in.

Barely ten minutes later, a new message popped up on her screen.

This time, it was from Thorne.

[Are you free on Monday morning?]

Charlene stared at the text, instantly knowing what it meant.

Sure enough, before she even typed a reply, a second message came through.

[Should we go to city hall?]

The moment Vesta saved his life, Charlene knew he would inevitably put their divorce back on the table. After all, that was exactly what he did the last time Vesta played the hero.

Frankly, she was surprised it had taken him this many days to bring it up.

Without a second of hesitation, she typed back: [Yes.]
