Sebastian and Elara walked under an umbrella to The Tea Leaf next door.
Sebastian's health had always been delicate, so his diet was strictly controlled by specialists. Even now, with unavoidable business dinners, a professional nutritionist monitored his meals.
He rarely drank boba, and he knew even less about it.
When Elara asked what he wanted, Sebastian tilted his head back, studying the menu intently. He didn't understand most of it, but eventually chose a cup of Jasmine Tea, which seemed acceptable.
Elara ordered a hot Boba Milk Tea for herself.
Seeing this, Sebastian changed his order to a hot Jasmine Tea as well.
After ordering, Elara had just pulled out her phone to pay when Sebastian reached his phone over to scan the code. With a beep, the payment went through.
Elara glanced at him and didn't bother being overly polite. "Thanks."
Sebastian tilted his head, looking at her with an expression that practically screamed, *Isn't this expected?*
Elara smiled, choosing not to argue with him over the gentlemanly etiquette of the man paying. She took the receipt from the barista and led him to an empty table inside.
On rainy days, the shop mostly handled delivery orders, so their drinks were brought over quickly.
A sip of the hot tea went down, sending a comforting warmth through her body. Elara held her cup with both hands to warm them, taking another slow sip before looking at Sebastian. "Thank you for before."
Sebastian didn't quite catch her meaning and looked at her in confusion.
Elara elaborated, "For your help on Melody's birthday last week."
Sebastian wasn't used to drinking boba. He took one sip and set his cup down, mimicking Elara's gesture of warming his hands to avoid being noticed and making her feel awkward.
Hearing this, he raised his gaze to meet hers. He didn't explain, only reiterated what he had said at the Vance residence.
"I can help you even more."
