Elara sent her location pin, following up with her building and apartment numbers.

Sebastian quickly replied: [That's pretty close to me. I'll be there in twenty minutes.]

Elara: [Great.]

After sending it, she belatedly realized his reaction was entirely too calm.

Wasn't he curious about why she had moved?

Shouldn't he have been at least a little surprised?

But he hadn't shown an ounce of shock. It felt as if he had known about the move all along—as if even without her sending the address, he still would have shown up at her new front door in exactly twenty minutes to ring the bell.

She was intrigued but didn't dwell on it.

After all, Sebastian already knew about her divorce from Julian and some of her strategies. Since he was helping her handle Maddox Beckett, he had probably heard the news from the old man himself.

Pushing the thought aside, she pocketed her phone and went downstairs to tell Jocelyn that Sebastian was joining them, before pitching in to help prep the food.

By then, Melody was awake. Elara was in her room, brushing her hair and helping her wash up.

Jocelyn went to get the door. Hearing the commotion downstairs, Elara sped up her brushing.

"Sebastian is here!"

Melody was absolutely thrilled. She squirmed in her seat, craning her neck to peek out the door.
