Ava went to order first, then sarried her tray over to Malory and the others.

The moment Malory saw her, she grinned. “Girl, you’re famous again! You’ve really made us proud!”

Ava looked confused. “Famous? What do you mean?”

“She means you’re trending on the school forum,” Naomi said as she opened her device, pulled up the forum, and tapped on a hot post. The bold title read, “Another day of attending class with the campus‘ most beautiful girl…”

Only after Naomi opened the post did Ava see that the main image pinned at the top was a photo of her taken during their first class of the day.

Naomi covered her mouth, laughing nonstop. “The guys from the Agriculture Department have been posting about you daily, wanting to boost your popularity. If anyone dares to say something bad about you, they get swarmed immediately. They won’t stop until that person deletes their account.”

Ava was completely stunned. “This is how it happened?”

“Looks like you’ve never really checked the school forum,” Zoey said. “Aren’t you aware you’ve been crowned the most beautiful student in the Agriculture Department?”

She continued, “I follow all those fans of yours confessing their love for you on the forum every day. It’s honestly one of my greatest sources of entertainment. The moment a guy from another faculty posts a confession, the boys from the Agriculture Department flood the thread. Watching them argue is absolutely hilarious.”

Noelle looked at Ava and patted her shoulder. “Seems like the person involved doesn’t know anything at all!”

Ava didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. How did this even happen?

They dropped the topic and took a few bites of their food before Noelle spoke again. “There’s a lecture at the Law Department this afternoon. Are you guys going?”

Malory shook her head. “Nope, I’m not interested.”

Naomi also shook her head. “I can’t. I’ve got class at that time.”

Noelle turned to Zoey, who waved her hands quickly. “Don’t ask me. I just want to lie in the dorm. Even if it’s the most handsome guy ever, I’m not going.”

“Some friends you are!” Noelle complained.

Ava was eating when her device chimed with a notification. Since she had set a special tone for it, she immediately checked.

It was a message from Ethan.

“I’ve been invited to give a lecture at your university’s Law Department this afternoon. Are you free?”

Before Ava could even swallow the food in her mouth, Ethan had already sent her the details.

Was it the same lecture Noelle had been referring to? Ava bit her fork lightly and looked at Noelle.

Noelle looked back at her, eyes sparkling. “Ava, will you go with me?”

“I don’t have anything this afterneen. I can go with you.”

Noelle immediately jumped up, ran over and gave her a big hug. “I knew it! You’re my best friend!”

They agreed to meet at the entrance of the main auditorium in the afternoon.

Noelle linked arms with Ava. “You’re seriously the best, coming to a lecture with me.”

After saying that, she leaned her head briefly against Ava’s shoulder. “Let’s go in.”

The auditorium was almost full by then, with only a few scattered seats left. Naturally, the good central spots were long gone.

Spotting a few empty seats behind the front row reserved for the Law Department’s teachers and leaders, Noelle immediately pulled Ava over.

“Are we sitting so close to the front?” Ava asked.

“The closer the seat, the closer I am to my idol,” Noelle said happily as she sat down. “If the first row wasn’t reserved for faculty and administrators, I’d sit there.”

On the stage, staff members were still bustling around. Ava glanced over but didn’t see Ethan yet.

She sat quietly beside Noelle and waited.
