"Stop being such a dog!" Jannah spat, her face burning like molten copper as she yanked her wrist free from his grasp.
Dorrent let out a quiet, rumbling chuckle, straightening his back slightly while keeping his gaze pinned on her flushed features. "Alright, fine. Back to the main subject then. Where do you want to go on this date?"
Jannah crossed her arms tightly over her chest, tilting her chin up with a defiant, mocking sneer. "Oh, really? Any place at all? Will you take me to the moon if that’s where I’ve been dreaming of going?"
Dorrent didn’t even hesitate. His lips curved into a confident, arrogant smirk. "Try me, little omega. If you want to go to the moon, I will buy the rocket and take you there today."
Jannah stared at him in utter disbelief before letting out a loud scoff. "You are completely mad! And besides... too bad there’s absolutely nothing good to see up there anyway!"
"Of course there would be something good to see there," Dorrent countered smoothly, his eyes gleaming with dark, playful mischief.
Jannah’s brow furrowed. "What could possibly be good to see on a lifeless rock in space?"
Dorrent tilted his head, gesturing casually toward himself with a wicked grin. "Me. I will be the good thing to look at. Am I not exceptionally pleasing to the eyes?"
Jannah’s tongue froze in her mouth. She opened her lips to unleash a wave of harsh insults, but as her eyes swept over his face, the words completely died in her throat.
Under the soft bedroom light, Dorrent’s facial features were almost unnaturally perfect. His sharp, impeccably structured jawline looked as though it had been carved from marble by a master sculptor. His high cheekbones, straight, noble nose, full lips, and those striking, intense silver eyes created a fierce, breathtaking aesthetic of pure Alpha dominance. He was undeniably, infuriatingly handsome.
Against her own will, an embarrassing thought slipped through Jannah’s mental defenses: He really is ridiculously hot... How on earth is a man like this so utterly obsessed with me?
Dorrent caught the tiny, subtle hesitation in her eyes, watching the way her gaze lingered over his lips and jawline. A slow, supremely self-satisfied smirk spread across his face. "Do you like what you see, Jannah?"
Jannah snapped back to reality instantly, her face bursting into a brilliant shade of crimson. Reaching out in panic, she pinched his straight nose hard between her knuckles, wringing it slightly.
"You are just ordinary!" Jannah lied loudly, her voice trembling with embarrassed fury. "What is so unique about your face anyway?! You’re completely average!"
"Ouch," Dorrent grunted playfully, catching her wrist and gently pulling her hand away from his nose, though he didn’t let go of her fingers. "You shouldn’t take this face for granted, little physician. It turns heads on every single street I walk down."
"You are an insufferable narcissist!" Jannah cursed, trying to pull her hand back.
