Flurina Keller, a citizen of Switzerland.
This was Fleur’s true identity.
Flurina destroyed the ID documents belonging to "Fleur Bonnaire," tossed them into the trash can, grabbed her bag, and turned to walk out of the restroom.
Now that she was back to her original appearance, her entire aura had completely shifted. Walking through the crowded airport, her steps were calm and composed, with even a faint smile of victory playing on her lips.
Afterward, she checked in and passed through security.
Along the way, Flurina kept feeling like someone was tailing her. She worried it might be Dylan’s people—afraid that if he found out she was leaving, he would have her detained.
After all, she had lost her trump card, Robin, leaving her with only the identity of Fleur. Even using the dead George as a shield, she couldn’t be sure that Dylan would let bygones be bygones.
At the end of the day, Robin was a blood relative to Dylan, whereas Fleur was merely a widowed sister-in-law. Without a child to anchor her, her value was gone. To the Bennett family, a widowed sister-in-law without a drop of shared blood was ultimately an outsider.
What’s more, she had deceived and plotted against Dylan, and had even struck Robin...
With every offense stacked against her, she didn’t dare hope that Dylan would spare her.
Fortunately, right up until she successfully boarded the plane, Flurina didn’t spot any suspicious targets. She felt somewhat lucky that Dylan had been away from Rainport for the past few days. Though she didn’t know what he was busy with, she took it as a stroke of divine intervention.
Once she made it back to the Organization, she would be safe.
With this thought in mind, Flurina sent a message to her superior: [Boarding completed successfully.]
Soon, the reply came back: [Once the plane lands, head directly back to headquarters. The Godfather wants to see you.]
Flurina pressed her lips together. She harbored a deep dread for the man her superior called "The Godfather." Since joining the Organization, she had only met him once; he had been wearing a werewolf mask that completely obscured his face. However, when he spoke, he carried a distinct Asian accent, leading her to guess he was of Asian descent.
She had privately asked her superior about it, only to receive zero information and a harsh reprimand instead. It was then she learned that someone else had previously tried to probe into the Godfather’s identity, and their fate had been a single word: death.
From that day on, Flurina never dared to bring up the Godfather again.
She had lived as Fleur for five years.
During those five years, interacting with Dylan under Fleur’s persona, she had shamefully developed feelings for him. On top of that, the Godfather had once promised her that if she could use her own abilities to secure a firm foothold in the Bennett family as Fleur, he would let her keep the identity and live out her life as Fleur.
Initially, Flurina hadn’t cared much for the offer. But after meeting Dylan, she gradually grew attached to the identity of Fleur. Because of him, she had begun to fantasize about a life staying with the Bennett family.
Regrettably, Dylan was not a man so easily fooled—and then there was his wife, Elise...
Thinking of Elise, Flurina narrowed her eyes in annoyance.
Elise Harper... I’m keeping score of this debt.
Flurina switched off her phone, turned her head to look out the window, and let out a soft sigh through tightly pressed lips. In the end, she had committed the ultimate taboo—letting her emotions take over. One wrong move, and every step after was a mistake.
This time, with the Godfather summoning her back to headquarters, she knew her chances of survival were slim.
Yet, after lying low for five years, was this the result she was left with?
She was unwilling to accept it!
Ten minutes later, the plane soared into the blue sky.
Inside the airport, "Flurina Keller" watched the plane ascend into the sky. She slung her bag over her shoulder, pulled on a baseball cap, a mask, and sunglasses, and turned to leave with her head kept low.
She failed to notice that from start to finish, a pair of eyes had been fixed on her.
Watching her walk toward the exit, the person silently pulled out a phone and dialed a number: "She didn’t get on the plane... Understood, I’ll keep tailing her."

By the time Elise received Zoey’s phone call, it was already the evening of the day after "Fleur" had left.
That was far too convenient.
"Where is Fleur now?"
"Missing," Zoey said. "It’s strange—it’s like she vanished into thin air. There’s no record of her exiting the country, nor are there any domestic flight records. Last night, I even hacked into the domestic ride-hailing apps, hotels, and inns to check everything. There’s no record of her booking a ride or checking in anywhere."
"A living, breathing person doesn’t just disappear into thin air." Elise lowered her voice. "If there are no records at all, there’s only one possibility."
"Are you suspecting that Fleur changed her identity?"
"Not changed her identity," Elise said with absolute certainty. "She switched back to the real identity that originally belonged to her."
"You mean... this Fleur was a fake all along?" Zoey’s voice rose a few notches. "Elise, you can’t just throw that around lightly. If this Fleur is a fake, do you realize what that implies?"
Elise knew, of course.
It implied that the kidnapping case targeted at Dylan five years ago had never truly ended.
"Zoey, some facts can’t be changed just because we choose to avoid them."
Elise looked out at the sun slowly sinking into the horizon.
Whenever she thought back to that kidnapping five years ago, a subtle, piercing pain would still radiate from her chest. Those two innocent children were a trauma she could never erase for the rest of her life.
However, she had learned to accept this pain, to make peace with the past, and to let go so she could look forward. Only by looking forward could one see hope.
Elise let out a quiet sigh, her expression composed. "In the past, I was unwilling to overthink things, so I often acted on emotion, failing to stay clear-headed and rational. Because of that, I never had the chance to see the conspiracies hiding in the shadows."
On the other end of the line, Zoey fell silent.
Elise knew that Zoey understood as well: the current situation left them with no choice. From the moment she became Mrs. Bennett, she had been dragged into a conspiracy tailored specifically for Dylan.
Even though she was now divorced from Dylan, she might not be able to walk away unscathed.
