Starling Tower suddenly went into lockdown.

I had just stepped into the main lobby when alarms began blaring and security personnel rushed to seal all exits. My stomach instantly knotted with a premonition of trouble

His face was grim as he answered, A child has gone missing. The building is being secured. If you don’t work here, you need to leave now!”

I looked back at the lobby, now filled with confused employees gathering in small clusters, speculating about the situation. I had already left the building and couldn’t get back in now that it was locked down.
