Finnian watched her disappear down the dimly lit hallway, a deep sense of exhaustion washing over him..
But her desperate question lingered in his mind.
Did he regret his wedding day?
Honestly, the corporate chaos had consumed so much of his bandwidth back then that he barely remembered his exact emotional state. All he could recall were the endless rows of guests, Kaia’s luminous skin under the ballroom lights, her shy, breathtaking smile, and the way she tiptoed o meet his lips when the crowd chanted for a kiss.
When Finnian finally made his way to the dining room, Josephine had already taken her seat at the head of the table.
Noelle seemed to have composed herself, though she remained deathly quiet. Elaine motioned for him to sit. “Are you staying here tonight, or going back to your estate?”
‘I’m heading back,” Finnian replied curtly.
Noelle stole a nervous glance at him but kept her mouth shut.
Josephine, having exhausted her fury earlier, ate in silence.
The family suffered through a suffocatingly tense dinner. Finnian ate faster than usual, and the mornent he set his silverware down, he stood up. “I’m leaving.”
“Finnian, could you give me a ride…” Noelle started to ask.
“Didn’t you drive your own car?” Finnian cut her off instantly.
“I just… I have something I need to talk to you about,” she murmured.
Before Finnian could respond, Josephine cleared her throat loudly from the head of the table.
Chapter 350
The sound snapped Noelle back to reality. “Never mind. I’ll just drive myself. We can talk at the office tomorrow.”
Finnian gave a curt nod.
Just as he reached the door, Josephine called out, “Firinian. Do not forget the promise you made me upstairs.”
Finnian’s dark eyes flickered. She was reminding him to find Noelle a
husband.
He hadn’t forgotten. He just wasn’t sure if his chosen candidate would agree, or if Noelle would even accept him.
Leaving the oppressive atmosphere of the estate behind, Finnian
mmediately dialed two of his closest friends and told them to meet him at their favorite exclusive lounge.
Finnian arrived at the second–floor VIP room first. A few minutes later,
Quentin and Chad walked through the door.
n their elite social circle, The Quinn Family and Chad’s family frequently elied on The Sanders Family for lucrative contracts. While they treated each other as equals, Finnian was the undeniable alpha. When he called, they answered.
‘Where’s Julian Kendrick?” Chad asked, dropping onto a leather sofa and pouring himself a drink. “Did he bail?”
‘I didn’t invite him,” Finnian said flatly.
Quentin and Chad exchanged a loaded look, immediately sensing the
tension.
“Why? Did you two have a falling out?” Quentin asked cautiously.
“No,” Finnian replied, a humorless smile tugging at his lips. “I just didn’t want him here tonight. I need your objective opinion on something.”
The two men exchanged another surprised glance.
Chapter 350
“Our opinion? Since when do you care about our opinions?” Quentin joked.
“I don’t. But I want to hear what you have to say anyway,” Finnian shot back, instantly shutting Quentin down.
Chad smirked at Quentin’s expense. “Alright. What do you need us to analyze?”
Finnian leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. “What would you Juys think if I set up Julian Kendrick with Noelle?”
The question dropped like a bomb, leaving both men staring at him in absolute, stunned silence.
