Chapter 491
Chapter 491
Elaine Sanders didn’t know how to face Noelle Lawrence, so she just had the staff send food
inside.
Finnian Sanders came out, saw his mother leaning against the hallway wall looking down, walked over. “Mom, did Grandma go back?”
“Yeah.” Elaine looked at her younger son’s handsome face, feeling an inexplicable heartache
She walked over, stopped in front of him, reached out, straightened his collar.
Finnian saw his mother’s tears, held her trembling arm. “Mom, what’s wrong?”
Elaine sighed, feeling suffocated. “Finnian, tell me the truth. You and Noelle…”
Finnian stiffened, slowly loosened his grip, stepped back. “Mom, I don’t know what you’re asking.”
“Stop running. Tell me. I want to know everything.” Her voice turned stern. “My three children… how did it come to this? Where is my dignity?”
Finnian lowered his voice. “Mom, calm down. There’s nothing between Noelle and me.”
“Really?” Elaine stared into his eyes.
Finnian turned his face. “When we were younger, I had some thoughts, but after she married Rafael, nothing.”
Elaine stepped back, leaning against the wall. “So the three of you… a love triangle? You liked Noelle, Rafael liked her, Noelle liked you, but she married Rafael?”
“Mom…”
“Absurd. Crazy. You three lunatics.” Elaine teared up. “I remember on Noelle and Rafael’s wedding day, you drank yourself into the hospital. I wondered why the groom was fine but you were wasted.”
“Mom, stop…” Finnian’s handsome face flushed, embarrassed by the past.
“No wonder Kaia wants a divorce. You’re out of your mind. Do you even know who you are?”
Elaine wanted to slap him.
“Mom, I’ve always known my place. After she and my brother married, I had no thoughts about her. I respected her, treated her as family. Stop making it sound so dirty.” Finnian grew angry, his face darkening.
Elaine paused, looking at a face that resembled Rafael’s, feeling a stab of pain.
“What are you going to do now? You can’t stay tangled up with her.” Elaine asked calmly.

“never did.” Finnian felt guilty. “When she’s recovered, I’ll make it clear. We’ll see each other less.”
