Chapter 506
Chapter 506
Simon couldn’t explain everything in that split second, but he knew for a fact that Finnian and Kaia’s marriage was officially over.
“Mr. Sanders, you’ve got it all wrong. Kaia and I haven’t had any private contact over the years. I’ve been working overseas…”
“I don’t want to hear it from you. Kaia, you tell me. You had a crush on him back then, so why didn’t you marry him? Why did you choose to marry me?” Finnian unleashed all the pent-up frustration he had been holding onto for days.
Simon froze, immediately looking down at Kaia’s face to confirm if it was true.
Kaia had a crush on him?
How was that possible?
How could he not have known?
Kaia’s usually calm face flushed crimson with humiliation and anger. She glared at Finnian. “Don’t talk nonsense. I’ve always respected him. We’re just friends.”
“Liar.” Finnian wasn’t about to believe her. The smug look she gave him when she held up the divorce certificate earlier couldn’t possibly be fake.

If that were true, then his seven years of being single were his own damn fault.
Simon drove his car out of the parking lot. He had managed to give her the roses, and a weight had been lifted from his heart.
In his rearview mirror, he saw Kaia and Finnian still standing in the parking lot. It looked like they were still fighting over his sudden appearance.
“Are you that terrified I’ll say something harsh and embarrass your lover? Kaia, you called me a hypocrite, and I’ll admit it, I am one. But what about you? You’re ten times worse than I am! You played the perfect wife flawlessly, but who was really in your heart?” Finnian couldn’t stomach the thought of being made a fool of. The fire in his chest had to be let out.
Kaia watched Finnian rip off his gentlemanly facade, her own temper finally flaring. Yes, for the past seven years, hadn’t he also pretended to be gentle, refined, and deeply affectionate?
“Finnian, there’s no point in us arguing over this. None of it matters anymore, does it?” Kaia’s voice
