When They Beg I Rise (Lemira) novel Chapter 1067

Downstairs at the hospital gates, Sophia Sinclair was being stonewalled by the security guards.

She glared aggressively at the men blocking her path. "Do you know who I am? How dare you stand in my way?"

"Ms. Sinclair, the boss has given strict orders. You are not allowed to take a single step onto hospital grounds."

"But I'm here to visit Aunt Amelia! He has no right to stop me."

Sophia's scandalous sales stream had been permanently banned, and she was already buried under a mountain of legal notices. It didn't take a genius to figure out who was destroying her life.

Matthew stormed out, his fury palpable. "You lost the right to call her that. Your entire family is a pack of venomous snakes. You should have all died a long time ago."

Spotting him, Sophia immediately plastered on a desperate smile. "Matthew, thank God. Whatever my mother did, it has absolutely nothing to do with me!"

"Oh really? And destroying the organ donor match? Are you going to tell me that wasn't you, either?"

Sophia's bravado faltered. "That was an accident! I never meant for things to go that far. I swear, I regret it every day."

"Save your breath. You're only here to beg for mercy. Let me make this crystal clear: the Sinclair family is going bankrupt, and your streaming career is dead. I'll personally ensure you're blacklisted across every platform. I won't stop until you're all begging on the streets, wishing you were dead."

Matthew's eyes burned with unadulterated hatred.

Sophia took a terrified step back. "Matthew, you can't be this ruthless. Does Orion know you're doing this? Does your mother?"

"Who do you think gave me the green light? My mom already blocked your number. She wants absolutely nothing to do with any of you."

Matthew shoved Sophia hard, sending her crashing to the pavement. He towered over her, his voice dripping with venom. "If you ever show your face near me again, I'll make you suffer in ways you can't even imagine."

Sophia opened her mouth to argue, but as she glanced up, she spotted a familiar silhouette standing by the second-floor window. Was that Orion?

Seeing Orion watching the scene with total, terrifying apathy, her stomach dropped. It really was over.

Matthew pulled out his phone and pointed the camera directly at her. "If you don't get the hell out of here right now, I'm posting this online. I'm sure the paparazzi would love to see how pathetic the scandalous socialite looks today."
