Amelia was indignant and wanted to keep cursing but was warned by the guards to keep quiet.
Startled, she finally stood in the defendant's box, fuming.
During the trial, Amelia kept saying, "I'm framed. I didn't hire a hitman. It was the driver; he took matters into his own hands and killed to threaten me."
Hale was much calmer. He had evidence proving Amelia hired the hitman.
When the video evidence was played in court, Amelia's face changed drastically. She stared at Hale. "You actually held something back."
Her heart sank. She had always looked down on Hale and his gang, not expecting them to be so meticulous.
She began to doubt if Hale's men were just ordinary thugs. Could ordinary thugs be this calculating?
With the video evidence out, Amelia's defeat was certain, combined with Hale's testimony that she hired him.
Amelia was still unwilling to accept it. "I'm being framed! Hale's testimony isn't credible. His daughter had a baby for the Langston family; he was bought off!"
She did everything to deny guilt.
She didn't want to die; she wanted to live.
At this time, Amelia's husband, Wade, also appeared as a witness to testify against her.
Hearing her husband betray her, Amelia wanted to kill him.
Pointing at Wade, she cursed, "Why are you doing this? How have I ever wronged you? I did all this for the good of the Sinclair family!"
Wade glared at her viciously. "This is all your fault. If it weren't for you, the Sinclair family wouldn't be in this state. I should have listened to my mother and never married a woman like you. You couldn't even give me a son."
