Lemira took a step forward, forcing Sophia to stumble backward in a panic.

Sophia's eyes darted with sheer terror. How did Lemira know all of this?

Lemira's lips curled into a cold smirk. "You're wondering how I know, aren't you? A little investigation was all it took. Furthermore, the executive you poached and everyone involved in that project are willing to testify. The Sinclair family is finished."

"Impossible! They would never testify!" Mrs. Amelia yelled.

She had paid them off perfectly. There was no way they would betray her.

Lemira looked at Mrs. Amelia mockingly. "You used threats and bribes to force them to work for the Sinclair Group. But once you fully took over, you found excuses to fire all of them. Did you really think they wouldn't hold a grudge?"

These pieces of evidence had all been dug up by Sebastian Bennett.

Previously, Lemira hadn't thought that deeply into it.

She looked at Sophia anxiously. "Sophia, think of something! We can't let the company go bankrupt and let Mom go to jail!"

Sophia turned to her mother. "Mom, why did you have to do that back then?"

Sophia scoffed. "But if my mother turns herself in, the Sinclair Group will still go bankrupt. It's essentially the same outcome."

Orion spoke up from the side. "It's not the same. At least the Sinclair family will have a chance to struggle. Haven't you been going on blind dates lately, trying to find a wealthy man to revive your family through marriage?"

Panic flashed across Sophia's face. "How did you know about that?"

She had been so incredibly discreet about it.
