The moment the words left her mouth, Sebastian slammed on the gas.
Lemira grabbed the handle. "What's going on?"
"Someone's tailing us. Probably looking for trouble. Let's shake them first."
The sudden swerving threw Lemira against the seat.
Her head spun. "What kind of car is it?"
Could it be Orion? If it was him, there was no need to lose him.
"Just some piece of junk," Sebastian replied casually.
Lemira could only hold on tight, waiting for him to lose their pursuer.
A few minutes later, the car's speed leveled out. "Finally shook him. Looks like he's used to being chauffeured around. His own driving skills are garbage."
Lemira looked at him. "You know who it was?"
Realizing he had slipped up in his excitement, Sebastian quickly deflected. "Anyway, you guessed right. The item is stashed in Locker 38 at the spa."
"Looks like he's a regular there."
It was certainly an inconspicuous place to hide something important.
Before long, the car pulled up outside Blue Velvet Spa.
Stepping out, Lemira had to lean against the door for a moment, her head still swimming.
"Drink some water," Sebastian offered. "You didn't mention you got motion sickness, Ms. Langston."
She took a small sip, waiting for the nausea to pass.
"I usually don't," she murmured.
At least, she never felt sick when Orion was driving.
Sebastian drove exactly like he lived—reckless and full of attitude.
Orion was entirely different; his driving was always steady and controlled.
She suspected the person tailing them had indeed been Orion. Otherwise, Sebastian wouldn't have reacted so strongly.
But was Orion really that easy to lose?
