Who’s the Dog Now? novel Chapter 128

Was liking Zebulon always this exhausting?

"Stop the car."

A surge of courage rose within Naomi. Since she had already decided to cut ties with Zebulon, she couldn't keep bending to her parents' will.

If she took it slowly, she could eventually change their minds.

Right now, they were just having a hard time accepting that she no longer liked Zebulon. Given enough time, they might be able to approach the matter calmly.

"Miss."

The driver looked at Naomi with a troubled expression.

Naomi could clearly see the faint accusation in his eyes.

He obviously couldn't understand why the usually obedient and sensible young lady was now making things difficult for the staff.

Naomi gave a small, wry smile, finding herself somewhat ridiculous.

She cared so much about what others thought, yet everyone else ignored her feelings.

And they all acted as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Naomi was simply tired of it.

She was going to do what made her happy, not revolve around everyone else.

"You can just drop me here. I can walk the rest of the way."

The driver finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"I'm glad you've come to your senses, miss. Your father and mother would never harm you."

"Mr. Hughes is a perfect match in terms of status and family background, and you like him. You should seize this opportunity, miss."

Naomi's expression was placid. "I know."

The driver then found a spot to pull over.

They were only a short walk from the marina, and the driver assumed Naomi wanted a moment to compose herself, so he left without another word.

But then Lennon refused to have the household staff come over, saying he had arranged his own help.

For some reason, the Spencer family actually agreed.

While the staff was relieved, they also felt a strange sense of unease.

They hadn't even had a chance to complain about an illegitimate son putting on the airs of a young master, and now he was acting like he was too good for them?

"Wow, boss, your family's villa is gorgeous!"

The studio staff had all been brought over, and upon seeing the luxurious villa, their eyes were wide with wonder.

Lennon, who rarely celebrated his birthday, looked slightly more cheerful than usual today. His gaze kept drifting towards the entrance. "Yeah, feel free to look around. If you need anything, just ask the staff."

With that, he walked towards the main door.

"Hey, boss, where are you going?"
