Who’s the Dog Now? novel Chapter 265

Seeing her speechless expression, Patricia giggled. "Well, life gets boring, you know?"

"I told you about it before."

Naomi vaguely recalled something of the sort, but she hadn't paid it much mind, which was why she was so surprised to hear it again.

She suddenly realized that Zebulon had become just another one of those trivial things in her life.

Before, just hearing his name would trigger a conditioned response. Now, she felt nothing.

It seemed there truly was no place for Zebulun in her life anymore.

"Tiffany is so weird, sending you messages to provoke you. Isn't she afraid you'll get fired up and go back to him? Then all her efforts would be for nothing."

Patricia was thrilled to know Naomi had truly moved on, and now she spoke of Tiffany as if she were a clown.

She wondered when the woman would finally realize she was just shadowboxing.

"I don't know, but I'm not getting involved. I can't believe I hadn't deleted her contact info yet. I blocked her just now."

Patricia applauded. "Yes, that's the way to do it!"

"You have your whole amazing life ahead of you. Why get tangled up with those disgusting people who have no shame?"

She glanced at the time and suddenly linked her arm through Naomi's. "Naomi, it's go for lunch. My treat."

Naomi gave her a sidelong glance.

"Do you eat out every day? It takes a while to go back and forth. I thought you were the laziest person I knew."

"It's because you're finally having lunch with me on campus! Of course, I have to treat you to something nice!"

Naomi then remembered she had been rushing to the studio after every class and hadn't had lunch with Patricia in a while.

"Alright."

Naomi valued her friendships, so she agreed and started packing her things.

"Well, you can still buy something you like for yourself."

"Come on, Naomi, you have to stay with me today."

Patricia didn't have many friends, and Naomi had been so busy lately. This was a rare opportunity.

Naomi looked at Patricia suspiciously. "Is there something you want to buy?"

"Nope."

Naomi grew more curious. "Then why are you so excited?"

She hadn't noticed before, but Patricia was practically buzzing with excitement.

And when she mentioned shopping that afternoon, she couldn't wipe the grin off her face.

Naomi remembered Patricia wasn't someone who particularly enjoyed these things. Her sudden change in interests struck Naomi as odd.
