Chapter 72
“Yes!”
Ayla remained silent throughout, standing beside Lucian. Before entering, she turned back and glanced at me, with a slight smile on her lips.
I clenched my hands tightly.
Lucian made it harder for me to go in there. I stood outside and waited for Ragnar to come out.
The rain was too heavy.
The umbrella did not completely cover me. A lot of rain poured down on my back, and soon I was soaked halfway through.
I shivered with cold. I looked disheveled and pitiful. But I still stood there, my gaze unusually determined, staring at the hotel door.
Fenris walked over, holding an umbrella. “Ms. Seren, Alpha Lucian asked me to take you back.”
“No need.” I coldly refused.
After speaking, Fenris quietly waited.
Fenris tried to persuade me to leave and called Lucian.
‘Alpha Lucian, Ms. Seren was unwilling to leave.”
‘Let her be.” Lucian hung up the phone with an extremely cold tone.
Fenris left. On a cold winter’s rainy night, the cold wind pierced to the bone.
Although I was wearing a coat, my bare thighs under the dress were freezing, causing me to shiver and my entire body to become stiff.
I didn’t know how long I waited. Ragnar’s figure finally appeared in my line of sight.
My eyes lit up, and I hurriedly walked towards him.
‘Mr. Blackthorn. My legs were frozen, and I rushed towards him, stumbling and unsteadily moving forward.
Ragnar immediately extended his arms, “Be careful.” I fell into his arms and was embraced tightly by him.
‘Mr. Blackthornl, I am sorry.” After I regained my balance, I awkwardly stepped out of his embrace.
‘Get on the car first.” Ragnar looked at me, who was freezing cold, and pursed his thin lips. He gently supported me with his large hand and helped me get into the car.
‘Mr. Blackthorn. As soon as I got on the car, I couldn’t wait to speak.
‘Let’s have some hot water to warm up first.” Ragnar poured a cup of warm water and handed it to me.
Thank you.’ I took it and tried it; the water temperature was just right.
I took several sips in a row, and my body gradually warmed up. Relieved, I found it much more difficult to speak again.
