Written Off as Trash, I Activated My Hidden Queen Mode novel Chapter 463

"Love you, Dad! You're the best!"

Vincent looked at his phone after she hung up and couldn't help but chuckle.

The little brat—she certainly knew how to work him. Still, he thought, she definitely took after him. When a good opportunity comes along, you close the deal immediately.

"Jasper, my dad said yes!" Nicole beamed, throwing her arms around his neck.

"I heard." Jasper kissed her forehead, his eyes full of affection and his smile radiant.

"We need to hurry to the family court. They're going to close soon!"

"Don't run," Jasper cautioned, swept her up, and carried her in his arms.

"Look at you, being such a thoughtful father already," Nicole teased, cupping his face and planting a kiss on his cheek.

The word "father" made Jasper pause for a beat. "If it's a girl, her nickname will be Star. But what should her real name be?"

"Stella Moore," Nicole suggested.

"Stella Shaw," Jasper said at the exact same time.

Nicole blinked in surprise. "Wait, you were thinking the same thing?" She gave him an excited kiss. "Jasper, we're totally on the same wavelength. We really are made for each other." Then she tilted her head. "But why did you want her to take the Shaw name?"

"The Shaws are a happy family," Jasper said simply. "I want her to have a life full of that same happiness."

"Our little family will be happy, too."

"Well, I'm basically marrying into your family anyway," Jasper joked. "It's only natural that the kids take your name."

Nicole laughed, thinking it over. "Who ever heard of someone 'marrying in' like that? You brought your entire fortune with you. What exactly are you getting out of this deal?"

"Besides you? Nothing else matters."

A blush crept up Nicole's neck, and her eyes crinkled with a smile. "Jasper, you really love me that much, don't you?"

"More than anything."

"Then get moving! The court is closing!"

Jasper gave her cheek a playful squeeze before hopping into the car and heading for the family court.

When he finally held the marriage certificate in his hands, it felt like a dream. He had actually done it.

He had married Nicole. She was his wife.

Jasper's eyes began to well up.

"Are you... Are you crying?" Nicole asked, caught off guard.

Jasper pulled her into a tight embrace. "Nicole, we're finally married."

"You're that happy about it?"

"I am. I've wanted to marry you for so long."

Nicole wrapped her arms around his waist. "I'm happy too. I can't believe I'm finally your wife." It touched her deeply to see that winning her heart could actually move him to tears.

"Honey," she said, her voice soft and sweet, "I'm hungry. And I think little Star is hungry, too."

Jasper felt his heart melt. "Let's go. Let's get you some dinner."

Fingers interlaced, they walked out of the family court together.

It was a harsh reminder: once you mess up, some mistakes haunt you forever.
