You Faked Your Deaths to Punish Me?! That’s Illegal, Family! novel Chapter 47

Chapter 8

Following the voice, we saw a tall woman in a form-fitting dress with gorgeous waves of hair that made her look both elegant and playful.

She stood out like a movie star among the crowd.

“Mom!” I shouted, flying into her arms.

Mom stroked my head affectionately.

“Running so fast! Aren’t you afraid of falling?”

Dad walked over and wrapped his arm around Mom’s waist, saying tenderly:

“Honey, what took you so long?”

Mom leaned into Dad and said helplessly:

“Flight delay – how’s that my fault?”

“Did I miss a good show?”

The reporters stared in shock, taking time to process.

Everyone whispered among themselves, wondering who Mr. Fraser’s wife could be.

Tessa also stood frozen, her face flushing red before she finally managed:

“You… when did you get a wife?”

I laughed at her ridiculous question:

“If my dad doesn’t have a wife, did I pop out of a rock?”

“My mom doesn’t like socializing, so Dad protects her privacy very well. Got a problem with that?”

Mom and Dad had always had a great relationship. After having me, Mom said she wanted to travel the world.

Dad didn’t object at all – he not only supported her dreams but raised me as both father and mother.

But Mom also took me traveling frequently. Just before I started college, she’d taken me diving in Australia. Our family was very close.

Tessa quickly recovered:

“Then Mr. Fraser’s even more guilty! Adultery!”

Mom frowned, clicked over in her heels to stand in front of Tessa, and said word by word:

“Try spreading one more rumor about my husband cheating or being quick on the trigger.”

Then the big screen started play

Mom couldn’t bear to hang up watching Dad’s cute sleeping face, but then a figure slipped through the door – Tessa!

She tiptoed to the bed, snapped several photos, then crept back out.

So that’s what happened!

Mom had screen-recorded the entire thing!

Tessa’s face went ashen, her eyes darting around.

Mom laughed coldly and asked:

“Miss Tessa, cat got your tongue? Keep making things up.”

Suddenly Tessa pulled a fruit knife from her jacket and grabbed Mom as a hostage!

“I’m Mrs. Fraser! Only I can be Mrs. Fraser!”

“Die! Once you’re dead, I can be Reid’s wife!”

She immediately raised the knife toward Mom’s throat!

I couldn’t react fast enough!

Smack!

Instantly Dad flew-kicked the knife away and pulled Mom back to safety.

Tessa immediately tried to pick up the knife, but Dad kicked her in the back, sending her crashing to the ground unable to move.

“Not hitting women is my bottom line, but you hurt my wife – I don’t have a bottom line anymore.”

Police arrived quickly and took Tessa away.

Investigation revealed that Tessa was actually Dad’s deranged stalker!

Not just Tessa – her whole family fantasized about connecting with wealthy families someday!

Tessa had been tracking Dad’s schedule for years, which explained all those candid photos.

She’d even registered a fake social media account that started with long-distance declarations of love for Dad, gradually becoming more twisted until she actually started calling herself Mrs. Fraser.

Eventually she even posted vows online to kill everyone around Mr. Fraser!

That way he’d only love her!

ming with me was part of her plan! She’d researched my college applications and applied to the same school and major.

even arranged our dorm assignment by emailing the school pretending to be Fraser Industries:

[Mr. Fraser requests that the Fraser heiress and Tessa share a dorm room. Please accommodate this request.]

The school actually put us together without verifying the email’s authenticity!

When police searched our room, they found numerous prohibited items in Tessa’s luggage, including an opened bottle of sleeping pills.

They even detected large amounts of sleeping pills and sedatives in the bread she’d given me.

No wonder I’d slept so deeply that first night I hadn’t even noticed her getting up to photograph me!

Ultimately Tessa was charged with multiple crimes including attempted assault and defamation, and sentenced to twelve years.

Even in prison she kept claiming her husband was the Fraser Industries CEO, getting beaten up by jealous inmates until she nearly died.

Dad booked a fancy restaurant for a family dinner.

In the private dining room, Dad asked Mom adoringly:

“Honey, where do you want to travel next?”

Mom pouted, pretending to be annoyed:

“Nowhere. I’m staying home.”

“Can’t have my husband becoming someone else’s husband while I’m gone.”

Dad burst out laughing and kissed Mom’s right cheek.

I coughed awkwardly, looking at them both helplessly:

“Stop with the PDA. Show some consideration, thanks.”
