You Faked Your Deaths to Punish Me?! That’s Illegal, Family! novel Chapter 93

Chapter 2

I was a college student working as a part-time dance instructor when I met Theo Valentine.

That night, Theo was cornered in an alley by his enemies.

There were at least twenty men against him. Anyone else would have run or died.

But Theo wasn’t just anyone-they called him the “Angel of Death” in Boston for a damn good reason.

He single-handedly took down the entire group. When he walked out of the alley, several wounds were bleeding across his body.

Yet he leaned against a lamppost and calmly lit a cigarette.

When he looked up, warm yellow light spilled from a second-floor window across the street. In that light and shadow, a girl was dancing by the

window.

Theo said that’s how I stormed into his heart and became his eternal angel!

He said I looked like a fairy, like a goddess.

When he first pursued me, I was afraid of him and came up with countless excuses to refuse him.

For instance, I said, “I only like well-mannered gentlemen. You’re too rough.”

So he spent a fortune hiring etiquette coaches who trained flight attendants to teach him manners.

Or when I said, “I don’t like violence. I just want someone to have a peaceful life with.”

So he disbanded all his criminal operations, legitimately became a businessman, and devoted himself to charity work.

Everyone in Boston said he was crazy about me. Whenever something involved me, Theo would reveal his lethal nature as if his ultimate

weakness had been touched.

Yet this same man now forced my father to become a convicted killer for another woman, compelling me to kneel and apologize to a sexual

predator…

The car drove into the funeral home. Bodyguards roughly dragged me from the vehicle and threw me into the hall.

When Cassidy’s family saw me, they rushed forward in righteous anger to attack me.

Theo merely frowned, and Cassidy looked at him smugly. “Her father killed my brother. My family deserves to vent their anger. You won’t mind,

right?”

Theo said nothing, but he also made no move to stop them.

I was swallowed by Cassidy’s relatives. They slapped my face, kicked my stomach, tore at my clothes, and pulled my hair violently.

Worse still, some ran their filthy hands over my private areas.

Able to endure anymore, I screamed Theo’s name.

Theo, regardless of everything, I’m still your wife in name!”

Theo frowned slightly, but before he could speak, Cassidy intervened.

“Alright, everyone stop! Theo brought her here today to repent to my brother. We should respect his wishes, if nothing else.”

Hearing this, the crowd dispersed, revealing my disheveled state.

Cassidy’s eyes gleamed with contempt as she pointed at her brother’s remains.

“Delilah Winters, I want you to admit in front of my brother that you’re the daughter of a killer, and apologize to him.”

I clutched my torn clothes, my voice cold.

“Dream on! I will NEVER admit to anyone that my father is a killer.”

The moment I finished speaking, Theo’s tall frame appeared beside me.

“Do as she says, or I’ll have to bring your mother here instead.”

My fingers dug into my palms as I glared at him through reddened eyes.

“Theo, are you really going to be this cruel?”

Theo looked down at me, his words sending a chill through my body.

“It’s just words. Not that serious. Cassidy wants to hear it, so say it for her.”

“If you keep being this stubborn, I’ll have to use special methods to tame you. You know I have a thousand, ten thousand ways.”

Right, how could I forget? He’s the Angel of Death!

Even if I refused, he could use countless methods to control me.

Whether through psychological manipulation or torture.

These methods might be bearable if used on me, but what if he used them on my mother or father…

I couldn’t bear to imagine.

I could only helplessly close my eyes, struggling for a long time before releasing my bloodied palms and surrendering to him.

“Fine. I’ll say it.”

I bent down, crawling to Jesse Morgan’s body, choking out each word.

“I am the daughter of a killer. I apologize to Mr. Jesse Morgan. I’m sorry!”

However, Cassidy was far from satisfied.

“Miss Winters, don’t you know a sincere apology requires kneeling? And your voice is too quiet.”

Tres

g with humiliation, I had to clench my teeth.

hing myself, I raised my head and smashed it hard against the ground.

THE DAUGHTER OF A KILLER! I APOLOGIZE TO MR. JESSE MORGAN! I’M SORRY!”

Blood immediately flowed from my forehead, covering my face.

Theo’s brow twitched almost imperceptibly.

I raised my head, staring directly at Cassidy.

“Is that enough?”

My desperate display startled Cassidy’s family, who tugged at her clothes.

Cassidy lifted her chin arrogantly.

“Barely acceptable.”

I climbed to my feet unsteadily. Theo quickly moved to support me, but I shoved him away.

“Don’t touch me. You disgust me.”

Anger flashed through him as he grabbed my wrist, his eyes narrowing dangerously.

“What did you say? Dare to repeat that?”

I stared back at him, enunciating each word clearly again.

When I finished, Theo reacted as if stung, suddenly releasing me.

This time, I didn’t look back at him, striding out with my head held high.
