But when I didn't get a response...

"Alright, you better look for a new supplier that will give you a big discount because I'm backing off!"

"Hey! Fine! I'm now zipping my lips!" And he pretended as if he was closing his mouth through an invisible zipper.

"Good!" I chuckled but he just rolled his eyes.

SAM's POV:

Two years ago, when I asked him to sign the divorce paper I gave him, I already expected that in our next meeting, it would be the most awkward situation we will face in our life... to meet again the person who has been a part of my life and once wanted to forget. I thought it would be difficult for me to face him again, but I was wrong.

Because when we met the other day, I didn't expect to feel so comfortable talking to him. The way we talked to each other was something I longed to happen when I was still with him. Awkwardness never interrupted our way not even when I opened how I still can remember almost everything about him... from his favorite shirt, coffee blend and so many things about him that seemed to be embedded into the farthest corner of my heart.

He's still as handsome as he was before but I think I like the way he looks now. Maturity does suit him even the five o'clock shadow that just added to his oozing sex appeal.

"Haist!" I sighed loudly as I put the glass in the sink. Dana and I had just finished our dinner and were getting ready for sleep.

"And what was that sigh for?"

"Huh?" I was startled when she stood next to me and put her plate on the sink. She has a suspicious grin on her face as she waited for my response.

"I said what was the meaning of your loud sigh? Your thoughts seemed occupied with something or should I say with someone," she smirked.

"Haha..." I avoided her gaze. "Let's just go to bed and sleep because I still have to attend the early Sunday mass tomorrow while you also have to get up early for the photoshoot."

" Tss!" She glanced at the round clock hanging just above the fridge and sneered at me. "Come on, it's only 9 pm, it's still early."

"I have nothing to say to you. " I shrugged.

"Oh, Samantha Soriano, even if you don't open your mouth I know what's occupying your mind or should I say... 'who' is occupying your mind." She said with a smirk and followed me into the living room.

"Then why are you still asking?" I uttered unconsciously and it's too late to realize it as she already screamed and jumped onto the couch next to me.

-'Haist!' - I suddenly want to regret why I agreed to let her sleep in my apartment for the whole week.

"Oh, my God, so I was right!" She raised an eyebrow while looking at me suspiciously as if I had done something naughty.

"What? I didn't say anything." I avoided her gaze.

"Haha... I know you didn't." and she said shaking her head as she giggled at me.

But after a few seconds...

"Come on, Sam, you know I won't judge you." I bit my lower lip when I glanced at her and saw her serious face.

"What do you want me to say?"

"Everything that's inside you." She shrugged. "I know how surprised you were when you met him the other day. Well, we were also surprised to know he was your husband. Imagine, the man you had been avoiding for almost two years was just a few meters away from you?"

"Yeah, I didn't expect to see him that soon and it never occurred to my mind they would extend their business here in the Philippines."
