~~There were many times when we shared precious moments, but later realized they were only stolen moments. Letting go is not an easy task when smiling feels like I must wear this lonely mask, it hurts deep inside. If loving you is all that means to me... when being happy is all I hope you'd be. Then loving you must mean I REALLY HAVE TO SET YOU FREE~~~

"What are we doing here? Are you gonna treat me for lunch?" Jack's question when we parked outside the exclusive restaurant. Her smile was kinda proud and yet full of hope.
It's been three days since Cali and I went to her apartment and I managed to use my daughter for her to forgive me.
"Is this your peace offering? Hmm... actually, you don't really have to do this, but if you insist, well, who am I to refuse, so let's go---"
"Wait, Jackeline!" I stopped her from opening the door to the passenger side.
"Why? Are we still waiting for someone?"
"No, actually we're here to see Luke and ---"
"What the hell! Did you bring me here just to see them? Wow! Samantha, what is this---"
"Hey, Wait! This is not what you're thinking, okay? I hired a private investigator to check my husband's every move, where they go and what they do after work."
"Whoa! You really hired a private investigator just to know your husband's whereabouts? Huh! I can't believe you! But what is this for when you already know what he does and who's always with him?"
I sighed, giving her the widest smile I could muster.
"I'll explain it to you later, okay?"
Confusion and disapproval were evident in her eyes. She didn't say anything or even nod when I stepped out of the car. And take note, I was the one who actually opened her door.
"Please Jack, this would the last time I ask you a favor. You don't have to do anything for me, you just have to be with me."
"Haist! What are you talking about that this would be your last favor, you stubborn woman?" I chuckled when she rolled her eyes. "So what are we waiting for? Let's go!"
We were at the entrance when she nudged me on the elbow and whispered lowly in my ear.
"You owe me an explanation later, woman!"
"Fine, I will explain to you everything, but stop calling me by that name."
"Huh? Which one?"
"Haha... the name you just said at the end of your sentence."
"Ohh, the woman?"
"Exactly!"
"But why? What's the problem with that, you are a woman, aren't you? You are a woman, I'm sure of it."
I copied her way of rolling her eyes.
"Argh! Because that's the name he used to call me when he's mad at me!"
"Hahaha... you're so funny but fine!"
We headed straight to the space that Nolan told me, my cousin, whom I hired again. He told me where I could watch and see the two love birds clearly. And then I turned around immediately the time we were seated. In three days that he has been watching my husband's moves, he has already memorized where and what number of the table he and his bitch of a mistress always sat and as for him, this restaurant is their favorite among all the restaurants in San Francisco.
"Whoa! What a nice fucking view---"
"Shhh!" I immediately shut her up as her voice came a bit loud. "We are not here to have a fight with them, we are just here to watch them."
"What the hell---what is going on with you?" She removed my hand that's covering her mouth.
"Please, Jack, bear with me? I-I need to do this."
"But what is it for?"
"I told you I will explain it to you later, but please, let's keep quiet for a while, okay?" I pleaded.
"Argh! Fine!" I let out a sigh of relief when she rolled her eyes but then nodded.
I leaned back on my seat and started watching them... my husband and the woman that makes him a smile. I let Jack order something for me as I took my phone and started taking pictures of the two. They were so sweet to the point that they have already lost their attention and care about what's happening around them.
A few minutes passed and the waiter came and put the piece of cake in front of them. I was really trying not to cry when Luke took his fork and sliced a small piece of the sweet chocolate cake and brought it to Cherry's mouth. And as usual, the girl opened her mouth excitedly.
I breathed deeply and bit my quivering lip to stop the tears from flowing, but I seemed to have lost all my strength when Luke supposedly wiped the corner of her mouth with a napkin, but he didn't, instead, he wiped it with his own lips. And that's it.
I looked away immediately, but it's too late as I have already seen that heartbreaking scene. I covered my mouth to prevent the aching sobs that wanted to escape from my throat and avoid catching other customer's attention.
I don't know about it before, I don't understand much, but now I know. It hurts. It hurts to see someone you love happy with someone else, in love with someone else, but he can't even give you a smile.
"Oh, my God! I don't understand why you really have to do this!"
I heard Jack muttered something across my seat, but I continued pouring out the pain.
I didn't respond for what she said and glanced back at the two.
They were laughing so happily and the love and excitement were both shown in their eyes.
"Sam...?"
I breathed loudly and looked at her, wiping the stubborn tears, but instead of drying, the more my face washed by my own tears.
