Chapter 158
Audrey
My fingers tangled in Edwin’s hair, his name on the tip of my tongue like the sweetest candy, I arched my hack, my thighs shuddering with pleasure as he worked his tongue in slow, deep fircles,
Waves of ecstasy crashed over me, one after the other, as he pinned me there to the couch. Broad hands trailed across my thighs and belly, fingers digging into my soft flesh.
Just like the fantasy he had shown me, a warm, thick finger slipped inside just as I reached my climax, moving in a beckoning motion and stroking across that perfect spot—
“Edwin-”
With one last shudder, I went over that edge, eyes rolling bark and legs trembling until I finally, blissfully, fell limp against the sofa c***ns
He had focused wholly on pleasuring me tonight, not even caring about himself. Even as he stood, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand and grinning down at me like the cat that had caught the canary, I could see the rock-hard tent in his
pants
Still gasping for breath, my skin tingling with aftershocks of pleasure, I reached for his pants, intent on returning the favor. I climbed to my knees, already tasting his shaft on my tongue just at the thought.
But Edwin caught my wrist gently, pulling me up into a sitting position. He bent and kissed me softly, his lips tasting sweetly of my own climax
“You should rest now,” he murmured against my lips, his breath warm on my face.
“But what about you?” I asked, my eyes flicking down to the obvious bulge in his pants. “I want to make you feel good, too.”
Edwin shook his head, a small smile playing on his lips. “Tonight was about you, love. I’m fine, really. Just being with you is enough
I hesitated, still feeling a bit guilty. “Are you sure?”
“Positive.” He straightened, back cracking. That same lazy smile was still stretched across his lips as if he had been sated by my body in the same way a rare steak might sate his hunger. “Just relax and enjoy the rest of the evening.”
I couldn’t argue that, so Edwin made us a big bowl of popcorn and we curled up on the couch together beneath a soft blanket, putting on a movie. He tucked me up against his chest and held me there, **s wrapped around me.
Soon, the warmth of Edwin’s body and the rhythmic sound of his heartbeat against my ear began to lull me into a comfortable drowsiness. I nestled closer to him, inhaling his familiar scent. As the movie played on, my mind bey to drift, and before I knew it, I had fallen asleep.
Fiona’s heels clicked rapidly on the polished floor as she followed that human girl’s scent. Her hands were clutched into tight fists at her sides, heart pounding, eyes narrowed.
“I’ll kill the b**h,” she thought to herself as she stormed down the hallway, glancing over her shoulder to ensure that no one was following her. “She’s the one thing standing in the way of my fate. The only thing.”
Finally, Fiona found her.
Pin-straight black hair trailed down her slender back and shoulders as she leaned over the metal railing, that emerald green.

dress glinting in the light. Her hips swayed as she moved, slender waist heaving as she sucked in deep breaths. She was trying not to cry, likely because of Fiona’s engagement announcement.

The human girl was pretty, Fiona supposed, as she silently slipped through the door onto the balcony. No wonder Erwin was so taken with her.
So young. So beautiful. So.. innocent.
It was such a shame that she would have to die tonight-on Fiona’s mother’s birthday, no less.
But Fiona had no choice. Those ba**ds back in Coldclaw were bearing down on her more and more by the day, and until she was married to Alpha Edwin, they wouldn’t let up. Fiona was the Silver Wolf, after all, and since birth, she had always been told that her one job was to marry the heir to Crescent Moon-Edwin.
The Silver Wolf, once mated, would become incredibly powerful.
And Coldclaw… Coldclaw would finally have that power. Between combining packs with Crescent Moon and having the Silver Wolf as its Laina, Coldclaw would be unstoppable. Soon, there would be no more packs, no more territories.
There would be nothing but Coldclaw. A new world of terror and shadows and power.
But with this one little girl in the way…
One push was all it would take. One push, and then it would finally be over. One little push, and Fiona wouldn’t have any more obstacles holding her back. Once she did this and married Edwin, her work would be done.
Fiona reached her hands out as she approached, prepared to push Audrey over the railing
But as if the girl had some sort of sixth sense, she suddenly turned. And her eyes…
They were glowing. Silver. She was a… werewolf?
It didn’t matter. Fiona had to move quickly, not hesitate. So she strode forward, hands still outstretched, and swallowed that scrap of her that pitied the poor girl.
“Fly, b**h”
Fiona’s hands connected easily with Audrey’s body. The girl didn’t even know what was coming, and so she flipped over that railing like a lead weight. She didn’t even scream as she went careening into the river below, just stared up at the sky in
shock.
Fiona, gasping, gripped the railing and watched as Audrey fell. Her platinum hair fell around her face, her heart pounding as she made eye contact with her victim.
Those eyes were still glowing silver.
But Fiona didn’t linger to see that light go out. Clutching her necklace, she turned and ran and didn’t look back.
“Audrey! Audrey, wake up! You need to breathe!”
I jolted awake, gasping, sitting upright on the couch. My body was drenched in a cold sweat, my muscles aching as if they’d been pulled taut and then shredded with an invisible knife.

Chapter 158
“What happened?” Edwin-asked, clutching both of my shoulders “What were you dreaming about? You were screaming and thrashing.”
I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself. My hands were shaking, and I clenched them into fists to stop the trembling. “I… I remember now,” I said, my voice h**e from screaming. “I didn’t just fall at Claudia’s party. Fiona pushed me.”
Edwin’s eyes widened, shock and anger flashing across his features. “What? Are you sure? How do you know this?”
I nodded, recounting my dream in detail. “I saw it all through her eyes. It was like I was inside her head, hearing her thoughts. She was thinking about Coldclaw. They.. They think she’s the Silver Wall And she was supposed to marry you to bring Crescent Moon and Coldclaw together.”
A shiver ran through me, and I wrapped my arms around myself.
“I stood in her way.” I whispered
Edwin pulled me close, his arms wrapping tightly around me. I could feel the tension in his body, a low growl rumbling in his chest. “You’re safe now,” he whispered. “She won’t hurt you again.”
I clung to him, burying my face in his chest. His familiar scent helped calm my frayed nerves, but I couldn’t shake the lingering fear from the dream. “Is she the Silver Wolf?”
Edwin’s arms tightened around me. “No. Definitely not.”
JAI
I swallowed hard. He was right, I knew, Fiona wasn’t the Silver Wolf. I knew, in those moments, that. That I was the Silver Star, That I possessed not only the ability to alter minds, but also read them. To ship into someone’s thoughts, someone’s memories
Down our mate bond, I could sense that Edwin had realized it, loo.
“Coldclaw,” I whispered. “They
“We’ll figure it out,” Edwin reassured me, still holding me against his chest as if I might slip away, “Tomorrow. You and me. He rocked me, stroking soothing hands down my hair as I trembled in his arms.
“My Silver Star.”
