Catelyn no longer felt drowsy after she went to the washroom.

Looking out from the blinds, she noted that Cedrick was still working, so she did not go out to disturb him. She made use of the time by checking out the resting room.

The room had a simple setup with a king-size bed and a few books on the bedside table. The pages of the books were creased, suggesting that the owner had been reading them quite often. Catelyn could imagine how Cedrick took some time off to rest on the bed and read.

She picked up one of the books with the title, [What To Expect When You're Expecting], Looking at the other books, they were all pregnancy books.

Catelyn was shocked. While Cedrick was reluctant to let her continue with the pregnancy, he had prepared so many pregnancy books behind her back. 'What a sneaky man,' she thought.

Regardless of that, Catelyn could understand where he was coming from. Despite being a father of two four-year-old genius kids, he had missed the moments where she went to pregnancy checkups and experienced the baby slowly growing in her womb. Perhaps he also wanted to make up for it.

The next day, all of the employees of Mason Group cheered joyfully, knowing Cedrick was not going into the office today. He had to go to the hospital with Catelyn for her monthly checkup and returned to the villa to visit Janice.

When they were in the hospital, Catelyn was already familiar with the whole process. Although Cedrick had accompanied her many times, there would always be a new experience each time.

When she heard her baby's heartbeat, she purposely placed the receiver to Cedrick's ear. "Did you hearthat? That's our baby's heartbeat!"
