Chapter 1480

Joanne froze when she made sure Edwin wasn't joking.

"After the remarriage, I’ll promise you everything."

His sexy voice once again sounded.

Joanne said instinctively and emotionally, "No. Change your condition. I can double the compensation. Just name a number. I'll work for you in the future. You'll be satisfied."

"Then sleep with me." Edwin's sharp eyes looked at Joanne as he smiled, "Stay with me for six months."

"You are pranking me!" Joanne fiercely pushed Edwin away from her like a cornered beast.

Joanne was so regretful. She should have kept Tail in the Brown family's house. If so, Joanne would have been around Tail when she answered Miles' phone call. Joanne would have stopped Tail from posting that.

"Patrick encouraged Tail to slander me online. My public image was ruined. Some people even photoshopped my pictures to insult me. I just asked you to stay with me for six months. I'm the one who suffered losses, right?"

Joanne was so furious that she slapped the partition in the car and yelled at Lucas, "Stop the car!"

Lucas' apologetic voice rang out. "I'm sorry, Mrs. Atherton.

This is a one-way street, and there is no parking here. Please wait a moment. I'll stop the car after getting through the next crossing."

Joanne sat back into her leather seat in a huff.

"We were married for a long time anyway, so you won't lose anything by staying with me for another six months."

Joanne was enraged by his words. Edwin was using their daughter's reputation to threaten her, and he did it with such justification. Joanne suddenly raised her hand and slapped Edwin hard.

Caught off guard, Edwin received a fierce slap in the face.

There was a crisp sound in the car.

Edwin's handsome eyes narrowed. "Go on."

Joanne suddenly stopped. She almost spilled the beans. She clenched her teeth and saw the scenery flashing by outside the window. They passed the one-way intersection. She planned to remind Lucas to stop the car.

"Joanne, I've indulged you too much." Edwin suddenly yanked Joanne onto his lap the moment she got up to knock on the partition.

His hand moved to the back of her head...

Joanne was forced to lower her head when he kissed her domineeringly.

Joanne pushed him desperately, trying to get rid of him, but Edwin's kiss grew deeper, and it was fierce, like a kind of punishment.

Tears ran out of her eyes uncontrollably and fell on the back of Edwin's hand.

They were so hot that he trembled.
