Chapter 1547
Chapter 1547
Edwin bolted upright from the sofa, his fists clenched until they turned white.
Joanne had married him, yet Jack still refused to give up.
"Which hotel is it? How dare they take Jack's order?”
In the five-star hotel.
Joanne had only heard Jack mention that he had a surprise for her.
When she arrived at the restaurant, she noticed the unusual decorations.
Romantic flowers and ribbons adorned the space, and the faint fragrance of blossoms wafted through the air.
The waiter led Joanne to the grand hall. At the end of the red carpet stood a tall, handsome figure with his back to her.
"Mr. Brown, your guest has arrived," the waiter announced, and the man at the end of the carpet slowly turned around.
Jack wore his standard gentle smile, holding a large bouquet of fresh roses in his hand. Nestled among the roses was a sparkling diamond ring.
Truth be told, he was a little nervous, and his palms were sweating.
He had used this cheesy trick to woo women before, but he would simply have everything prepared and then make an appearance. Those sultry women would then rush over to hug him, kiss him, and offer themselves to him.
The atmosphere at the scene was electric with the sound of music. He composed himself and slowly walked toward Joanne. Holding the flowers high, he got on one knee and confessed earnestly, "Jo, three months will soon pass. Give me a chance to take care of you and Tail, will you?"
Joanne's head felt like it was about to explode.
This was not a surprise at all. It was a shock.
She had already explicitly rejected him before.
"Do you really like me?"
When Jack heard the question, he thought she was going to say yes, and his heart pounded with excitement.
"You gotta believe me. I'm not like that scumbag. I will never let you get hurt."
Clap...
As soon as his voice died away, a sudden burst of cheering and clapping erupted in the hall.
Joanne and Jack both looked over before they saw Edwin entering in an immaculate suit.
Edwin cast a cold glance at the bouquet and the ring, finding them garish.
"When did you become an actor, Mr. Brown? What show is this?"
Jack was furious and yelled at Edwin, "How the hell did you get in here? I've booked the entire place. Get out!"
Joanne had begun to sway.
Without a doubt, this asshole had come to stir up trouble.
