Joanne pushed open the door to Edwin's office. There was a faint smell of rose perfume in the office.

Noah thought it was Edwin, so she deliberately tugged her collar down and gave a seductive smile. But when she turned her head and saw that it was Joanne, she froze.

"What are you doing here?" Noah glanced behind Joanne. Not seeing Edwin, she frowned in disappointment.

"This is my husband's office. Why can't it be me?" Joanne gracefully walked over to Edwin's desk, pulled out his chair, and sat down. "What do you want with Edwin?"

Seeing Joanne sitting in Edwin's chair, Noah looked slightly belligerent. "That’s Edwin's chair. Don't you know he hates people touching his stuff?"

She bit her lower lip and gave a sneer. "Don't fool me. I know you're Joanne. Edwin felt guilty and you have a daughter, so he married you. Don't be so proud! Edwin's father would never allow you to marry into their family!

"Four years ago, Uncle Harry kicked you out of the family. It won't change after four years. Do you think Uncle Harry will accept you after you change your name? You're daydreaming. Things won’t change!"

Joanne wasn't annoyed at all. She listened quietly to Noah's taunts.

She guessed that Noah could only use these useless taunts to try to anger her.
