Catelyn hesitated from entering the office, but Cedrick had spotted her and thus called out to her, “What are you doing out there?”

Her reflection filled his eyes as he stood, and the office instantly appeared less spacious with his towering figure. “You used to have George around, and with him now gone, you’ve lost your appetite for food and simply couldn’t wait to come and plead for him?”

He studied her expression without letting the slightest change escape his eyes.

“I’m just concerned because his family and friends are here in Sapphire City. Have you even asked about his opinion on sending him away? He would’ve been of more use to you here…” “You know about his family and friends?” He questioned sharply.
