In a twinkling of an eye, Cindy had fled several streets.

The sun was burning. Cindy felt dazzling. She squatted down, crossed her arms and buried her head in it. Tears welled up in her eyes.

"Mom."

"Cindy, where are you? I'm so worried. I couldn't get through to you the whole day. I asked Horald, but he said he didn't know. Are you in conflict with Horald? Cindy you are still newly married. Don't be childish. Cindy Are you okay?"

Cindy's mother kept talking, but she seemed to sense something wrong from her heavy nasal voice.

There was a sudden silence on the other end of the phone.

Cindy had long eyelashes, tears streaming down her cheeks, her fists clenched, and her fingernails pierced into her flesh. A burst of pain pulled her nerves to the top of her head.

"Mom, I'm fine." Cindy calm tone implied her strong forbearance.

"If nothing happened, at least tell me that you are safe. I can't contact you for a day. Don't you know that I will worry about you? Jason is in hospital. I don't want anything bad to happen to you."

"Mom, I'm really fine. Why are you looking for me in such a hurry? Is Jason..?"

Her heart sank. It was obvious that her mother was in a hurry through the phone.

As expected, something happened to Jason.

Amanda asked Cindy to go to the hospital as soon as possible. Before Amanda could finish her words, she hung up the phone in a hurry.

It seemed that there was the voice of Jason's attending doctor on the phone.
