In a twinkling of an eye, Cindy had fled several streets.
The sun was burning. Cindy felt dazzling. She squatted down, crossed her arms and buried her head in it. Tears welled up in her eyes.
Why did the god treat her like this?
After being together with Ethan, the Cheng family suffered a devastating disaster, even including the loss of her unborn child. In the end, she was forced to stop her studies and run around for a living and the medical fees of her younger brother. An orphan and a mother had a miserable life.
An old friend of her father couldn't stand this and helped her get a position as an intern nurse in the No.2 People's Hospital in J City. On the one hand, she could earn some living expenses, and on the other hand, her brother could continue to be treated in the hospital.
children?
Cindy was shocked.
The words "Recover Pharmacy" were so conspicuous.
"Miss, what do you want to buy?" The shop assistant greeted courteously.
Cindy's red eyes were full of tears, "well, I'll buy a box of medicine for pregnancy prevention."
The shop assistant glanced at Cindy with a disdainful look on her face. She quickly took out the medicine box from the counter and handed it to her. "This medicine must be taken in twenty-four hours after the sex. Are you sure, miss?"
Cindy took the medicine box, threw down a bill, and ran out of the pharmacy without waiting for the change.
She was a nurse. How could she not know what the shop assistant was going to say next?
The shop assistant curled her lips. Obviously, she had put Cindy in the group of restless people.
Last night, it was her wedding with Horald. Satisfied, she waited for her husband in the wedding room. How could she know that she spent her wedding night with Ethan?
Although she was in a daze, Cindy could clearly feel the existence of Ethan. He looked as if he was crazy with hatred. How could she think of anything else?
She couldn't repeat the same mistake!
If she was pregnant with Ethan's child again, it would only make things worse. She just wanted to stay with her mother and brother and live a safe life.
Dark clouds gathered and thunder rumbled.
In an instant, the God was making people feel breathless.
She tore open the medicine box. The pink pill was small and cute, which didn't match the current weather.
Cindy showed a bitter smile.
Cindy headed up and swallowed. Tears ran down her cheeks.
The phone in the bag suddenly rang.
The ID "Mrs. Amanda" kept flashing on the screen.
Deeply sniffed, Cindy tried hard to suppress her mental breakdown.
"Mom."
"Cindy, where are you? I'm so worried. I couldn't get through to you the whole day. I asked Horald, but he said he didn't know. Are you in conflict with Horald? Cindy you are still newly married. Don't be childish. Cindy Are you okay?"
Cindy's mother kept talking, but she seemed to sense something wrong from her heavy nasal voice.
There was a sudden silence on the other end of the phone.
Cindy had long eyelashes, tears streaming down her cheeks, her fists clenched, and her fingernails pierced into her flesh. A burst of pain pulled her nerves to the top of her head.
"Mom, I'm fine." Cindy calm tone implied her strong forbearance.
"If nothing happened, at least tell me that you are safe. I can't contact you for a day. Don't you know that I will worry about you? Jason is in hospital. I don't want anything bad to happen to you."
"Mom, I'm really fine. Why are you looking for me in such a hurry? Is Jason..?"
Her heart sank. It was obvious that her mother was in a hurry through the phone.
As expected, something happened to Jason.
Amanda asked Cindy to go to the hospital as soon as possible. Before Amanda could finish her words, she hung up the phone in a hurry.
It seemed that there was the voice of Jason's attending doctor on the phone.
