Chapter 103 Don't Seduce My Husband
"Emily?"
The sudden voice behind her sent shivers down Emily's spine.
It was a man.
Nathan emerged from the shadows. Thankfully, the wall lights illuminated his silhouette and Emily wasn't scared.
However, despite this, she couldn't read his expression clearly, and the green tint of the wall lights made Nathan appear even more eerie and sinister.
Emily instinctively grasped the wall beside her, pressing her back against it for support.
"What are you doing here?" she asked.
As she spoke, Emily realized something.
The "female ghost" had mentioned a young couple entering before her, and now she encountered Nathan, which meant Sophia must be here too.
Nathan took a step forward. "Don't be afraid. If you're scared, you can hold onto me."
With that, he extended his hand, offering a silent invitation.
Emily remained on high alert, not letting her guard down for a moment. Now, backed into a corner, facing what seemed like an entire hellish setting, her field of view widened, allowing her to better survey her surroundings.
Apart from the path she had taken, everything around was pitch black. However, she could tell that this place wasn't particularly large, and she gradually steadied her nerves as she adapted.
"I'm not afraid, thank you," Emily replied.
Nathan didn't press her, retracting his hand and scanning the area. "I've been wandering here for a few minutes, still can't find the way out."
Emily looked up at him. "What about Sophia?"
"She got scared and ran off. There's only one way out of here; she must have made it out by now."
That wasn't surprising.
Sophia had always been timid. When they were kids during thunderstorms, she would sleep with Emily.
But no one ever knew that Emily was also afraid of thunder.
Back then, she often positioned herself as a protector, putting on a brave face and shielding Sophia in her arms...
How nostalgic those days were...
