Chapter 169 Madelyn, Call Me Ben!
When they came back to Madelyn's apartment, Snowy wagged its tail to greet them.
Madelyn took off her coat and touched Snowy's head. She said, "Good dog!"
Snowy even shook its butt very happily, showing the intention of going out to play! Madelyn handed the traction rope to Benjamin and said, "You take it downstairs for walking, and I will cook a bowl of noodles for you."
Benjamin glanced at Madelyn deeply, with a little eagerness in his eyes.
Then he bent down to tie the rope to the dog and went out to walk the dog.
The kitchen was facing the outside, and Madelyn could see Benjamin when she was cutting up vegetables. Benjamin looked very elegant and charming with his slender figure.
Madelyn watched for a long time.
When Benjamin came back, he felt hot because of the good heating in the room.
Benjamin took off his coat and rolled up his shirt sleeves. He sat at the small dining table to eat noodles, still looking elegant.
Madelyn took a morning paper and sat next to him to read it.
She didn't take in a word but saw a few pinholes on Benjamin's arm. Probably because the pinholes were so dense, that piece of skin was all bruised.
Madelyn had a lump in her throat.
She touched Benjamin's skin lightly and looked at him. She asked, "You've drawn blood many times, right?"
Benjamin followed Madelyn's gaze and said yes.
These days, Eleanor had been moody and made trouble out of nothing, and the Bennett family and the Clark family had suffered a lot. Certainly, Benjamin suffered the most. As Daniel said, there was insufficient Rh-negative trait in the hospital, and as long as Eleanor hurt herself, Benjamin would go to the hospital to save her.
Madelyn didn't speak but just stroked that piece of skin.
She felt a little distressed.
She thought, "Eleanor doesn't love Benjamin. Even if she has loved him, it is extremely distorted and selfish love!"
But Madelyn couldn't speak this out.
Madelyn didn't know how important Eleanor was in Benjamin's heart!
After eating the noodles, Benjamin habitually took a cigarette to light up it, but Madelyn gently took it away.
"Smoke less!"
Benjamin looked up at Madelyn with deep eyes.
Madelyn lowered her eyes and cleaned up the dishes, but Benjamin gently pressed the back of her hand.
"Clean up tomorrow!"
Benjamin gently carried Madelyn in his arms and walked straight toward the bedroom, meaning obviously that he wanted to have sex.
...
"No!" Madelyn put her arms around Benjamin's neck.
Benjamin stopped and looked down at her. He said in a husky voice, "What's the matter?"
Madelyn stroked the neckline of Benjamin's shirt and murmured, "You've drawn blood several times, and you should have a good rest."
Benjamin stared at Madelyn with deep eyes.
Madelyn also looked at Benjamin with teary eyes and complicated emotions.
After a long time, Benjamin said, "It doesn't matter!"
Benjamin had always been overbearing, and Madelyn couldn't dissuade him and had to have sex with him.
Perhaps because of drawing blood excessively, Benjamin's body was not as good as before, and he only made love once.
Benjamin gasped softly in Madelyn's ear, and under the bed were their scattered clothes.
Madelyn wanted to get up.
But Benjamin gently pressed her and said, "Don't move. Stay with me for a while!"
Madelyn stopped moving and put her fair face on the side of Benjamin's neck to feel the warmth.
After half an hour, Benjamin had enough rest and went to the bathroom with Madelyn in his arms for a brief shower.
Madelyn was so tired that she fell asleep.
However, she woke up at night and found Benjamin was not in bed.
She got up to put on a coat and walked into the living room. The window opened a crack, and Benjamin stood by the window smoking. In the ashtray, there were seven or eight cigarette ends.
Seeing Madelyn coming out, Benjamin immediately stubbed out his cigarette!
"Did I wake you?"
Madelyn went over and hugged Benjamin. She asked, "Why don't you sleep? Is something bothering you?"
When a woman was soft-hearted, she was much more generous.
Madelyn thought she would be willing to talk to Benjamin about Eleanor if he wanted at this moment. After all, Eleanor was like a barrier between them and both of them couldn't escape.
Benjamin touched Madelyn's head and replied, "It's just work matters!"
He took her back to the room. When they were lying on the bed together, he kissed her behind her ear for a long time.
...
The next few days, they got along pretty well!
Even if Benjamin was very busy, they met two or three times a week.
Sometimes Benjamin spent the night in Madelyn's apartment, and occasionally he would pick her up to his apartment when he went back early.
There were always pinholes on Benjamin's arm.
Madelyn didn't ask where Benjamin was when they hadn't met, nor did she ask if Eleanor had been discharged from the hospital, whether she was still hurting herself or not, and whether she was holding him to redeem his feelings or not!
Madelyn only cooked a tonic soup for Benjamin when he came.
Benjamin wanted to have sex every time, but Madelyn rarely agreed because she thought Benjamin was in weak health now!
Certainly, occasionally at night, after receiving a phone call from William, Benjamin got dressed and then went to the hospital.
On such a night, Madelyn couldn't sleep. She would get up and sit in the hall waiting for Benjamin.
However, she never waited for his back!
...
As the days passed, Eleanor made her matter spread all over the city. After all, the Bennett family and the Clark family were celebrities.
Samuel cared a great deal for Madelyn, so he didn't approve of Madelyn being with Benjamin. He said, "Although the Clark family is wealthy, it's so ridiculous that your future husband always stays with an outsider!"
Camila was a woman.
She certainly knew Madelyn was having a hard time, so she didn't say much.
Madelyn was under a difficult circumstance!
She came out of the Greens' mansion and got into the car. She was going to the hospital to get medicine for Samuel, but Camila chased her down from upstairs.
"Camila!" Madelyn got out of the car.
Camila came to Madelyn and said softly, "Your father is a man, and he's plainspoken. Don't take his words to heart! As for the relationship, you can deal with it by yourself. But no matter how good Benjamin is, you don't have to be with him...if you are not happy!"
