Chapter 343 The Red Wine
The school anniversary celebration was filled with bigwigs, but none stood out more than Benjamin.
Elizabeth had hoped to impress him, but he had already left with Madelyn.
In the parking lot, inside the car.
Benjamin leisurely fastened his seatbelt and turned to look at Madelyn.
She leaned against the seatback; her eyes slightly moist as she gazed out the window.
It was clear that those videos had touched her deeply.
How could one easily erase the memories of first love?
Resting his hands on the steering wheel, Benjamin inquired, "Do you still miss Daniel?"
"No!" Madelyn replied.
"Then why do tears well up in your eyes?" he questioned.
Madelyn struggled to find the right words to respond.
But Benjamin gently pressed down on the accelerator, driving the car away.
Madelyn started to sense that something was amiss. They weren't heading home, nor were they on the usual route to his company.
She couldn't help but ask, "Where are you taking me?"
"To the apartment where we used to live," Benjamin replied.
Madelyn understood his intentions and said, "Benjamin, I'm no longer attached to Daniel. You can't be so relentless just because of a video."
He remained silent.
As they reached a red light at an intersection, he reached for a cigarette, lighting it lowly as his head hung low.
"Madelyn, I'm jealous!"
Madelyn was taken aback by his sudden outburst.
When they arrived at the apartment, Madelyn refused to get out of the car.
Benjamin unfastened her seatbelt and leaned in, whispering near her ear, "Will you get out on your own, or should I carry you?"
Reluctantly, Madelyn got out and walked ahead of him.Benjamin slammed the car door and followed slowly behind her with a cigarette between his fingers.
Entering the apartment, she turned around to question him, "Benjamin, what exactly..."
Before she could finish, he pressed her against the entryway wall.
Their bodies pressed closely together.
Though they were a married couple, this was far too intense for broad daylight.
Madelyn was taken aback, looking up at him with surprise. "Ben?"
Benjamin gently caressed her delicate face, his voice filled with a rough edge. "There are some questions I need to ask you."
As he spoke, he reached for his tie and bound her wrists. Then, he tossed her onto the plush couch.
Madelyn struggled to regain her footing and said, "Ben, is this how you ask questions?"
Benjamin half knelt before her and stroked her cheek before giving a chuckle.
He then walked to the liquor cabinet and finally selected two bottles of fine vintage red wine.
This particular type of wine was known to intoxicate without overwhelming the senses, making it perfect for women at this time.
He removed his jacket, leaving him in nothing but a crisp and appealing white shirt.
With the bottles in hand, he approached her, half-kneeling in front of her and elegantly pouring two glasses of wine.
Madelyn thought he intended to get her drunk and nervously bit her lip. "Benjamin, I will tell you anything you want to know!"
But he swirled the wine in his glass, his gaze fixed on her. "I want to hear the truth."
Then he drank about half of his glass.
His Adam's apple moved up and down with a captivating masculinity.
Madelyn was caught.
They remained silent for a long time before he softly asked, "And now... do you still... like him?"
Madelyn seemed to have sobered up.
She gently caressed his warm neck and replied, "No, I don't have any feelings for him now."
Benjamin began to kiss her again.
His touch was gentle and deliberate, slowly melting her resistance.
With tender strength, he lifted her in his arms and carried her towards the bedroom.
As their desire intensified, the red wine stained the bedsheet.
It had been a long time since Benjamin had felt such a fiery intensity. He wanted their love to burn like this until they grew old together.
When Madelyn woke up, she found herself in a dimly lit, eerily quiet bedroom, lying on her side on a pillow.
She still remembered the fervent love that Benjamin had bestowed upon her and how she had eagerly tried to please him.
The red wine had unfrozen her once cold heart, leaving her emotions tangled in a chaotic mess.
The bedroom door creaked open, allowing a sliver of light to filter in.
Benjamin walked in and gently pinched her cheeks, "Do you want to get up? Everest has asked for you several times."
Madelyn glanced at him and rose from the bed, clutching the blanket around her.
Benjamin leaned his forehead against hers affectionately and whispered, "Let's go home first, okay?"
He walked into the closet, selected an outfit for her, and even helped her get dressed.
Though she was irritated, she found herself pleased.
After all, they were a married couple.
Madelyn brushed her chestnut-colored long hair and gently warned him, "No more alcohol, Ben. Promise me."
Benjamin rested his chin on her shoulder and made a soft hmm sound.
Today was a special situation, and normally he would never displease her.
