Chapter 42 Yes, Madelyn Is with Me

Under his gaze, Madelyn's body trembled slightly.

Benjamin handed his phone to her and said, "Give your Mom a call, so she won't be worried! ...Your phone has been turned off all day!"

Madelyn took the phone and thanked him. Then she walked to the window and dialed Camila's number.

He quickly finished the conversation and read a few more files which were all related to Samuel's case.

When he was not that busy, he drank the ginger tea up and told Madelyn to go to sleep, for he still had some work to do.

Madelyn didn't insist on sleeping in the guest room. She knew exactly what he wanted!

After entering the master bedroom, Madelyn lifted the light quilt and lay down in bed. In the dim light, her skin looked white as snow against the black sheets.

She was a little nervous, but she didn't know when Benjamin would come back to sleep.
