Matthew drove Blanca to the company.
On the way, she didn’t look at the scenery outside the window, nor did she check her Facebook and Twitter as before.
“What’s wrong? Is there something on my face?” Matthew suddenly asked. This had been the twelfth time Blanca had looked at him.
“No. No. Matthew, how could a man like you would stay single for all these years?” Blanca lowered her head and fiddled with her nails. Her fair hands were beautiful and slender. She looked up at Matthew from time to time, as if waiting for his answer.
Matthew was so outstanding. It seemed that he could do anything well. There must be many girls pursuing him wherever he went.
Thinking of this, Blanca couldn’t help feeling a little lost.
“Single? I’m married.”
“What?”
“Yeah.” Matthew glanced at Blanca and seemed to be looking at a fool, “What do you think you are?”
“Poof…”
Blanca realized what Matthew meant. She immediately felt extremely embarrassed and blushed. She fiddled with her fingers harder. She had mixed feeling in her heart. She said, “I didn’t mean that. I mean... I mean, haven’t you fallen in love with any girl before you meet me? You are so handsome and many girls are definitely so crazy for you.” more importantly, why had he chosen her?
They could tell that they all held great expectations for the future.
“Leave work two hours early tonight and I will take you to a reception party,” Matthew reminded.
“Is it Mr. Butler’s reception party?” Blanca was excited. Matthew had mentioned that he would take her to the reception before. She had been looking forward to meeting Mr. Butler. If she…was really his grandchild she must ask why her parents had abandoned her.
Matthew seemed to think about something, “Okay.”
“Great!” Blanca was completely unaware of what was in his mind. She nodded and said, “I will definitely come to you sooner!” After saying that, she had already run into the building. She had swiped her staff passstaff pass and stood next to the hall on the first floor waiting for the elevator.
