Please Be Gentle With Me Mr Grant novel Chapter 169

Of course, Blanca wanted to find the pendant owner.

Blanca got pretty disappointed about not meeting Mr. Butler. She didn’t expect herself to be feeling this way - In fact, she assumed she had gotten used to living on her own, without her parents around for over 20 years.

But for some reason, she was feeling quite anxious now that she had found more evidence to her background.

The smile on her face faded away, “Matthew, we’ve made a deal. You promised that you would help me figure out my family. If you didn’t keep your promise, I will let the journalists know immediately that we have nothing but a marriage of convenience.”

“Will you?”

Blanca looked at Matthew’s superior appearance, and her heart suddenly felt a little sad. She knew that there was no way she could fight against Matthew and win, but she definitely wouldn’t give up.

Thinking so, Blanca coldly patted on the table, “I hope you keep your promise. There are still two weeks away from the one-month deadline we agreed to. If I don’t see anyone related to the pendant in two weeks, I will tell everyone the truth about our relation... Chairman Grant, I don’t think you’d want a scandal to be exposed like this for the Empire Group, would you?”

She did throw Matthew away by what she had said. No one had ever threatened Matthew Grant like she just did.

“Blanca, are you even aware of whom you are dealing with here?” Matthew suddenly asked.

“My beloved hubby.” Blanca put on a smile suddenly and wrapped her hands around Matthew’s neck, “Now that you are my husband - we will keep it this way as long as you keep your promise, otherwise... you will become my ex-husband before you know it.”

“Ex-husband...?”

The word “ex-husband” coming out of the mouth of a girl in her early 20s almost sounded unbelievable!

Blanca grinned, “So, I hope you will find me anything helpful soon. Bye for now, I will be at my desk.”
