Leave?
“Are you sure you don't want to check it out?” asked Curtis, blinking.
He said he wasn't going to the press conference this morning, and then he just ran over there. It had only been two hours, and the chairman had forgotten what happened?
“You seemed you don’t have anything better to do, didn’t you?” asked Matthew.
Then he added, “It is not for you to worry about her.”
“!!”
Curtis was shocked. Was this still his chairman? How could he say such childish words?
But the videoconference had already begun, and Curtis knew that Matthew was a workaholic who valued his work above all else, so he shut the door and walked out.
Maybe he was wrong. Matthew didn't care about his wife that much.
What Curtis didn't know was that Matthew had been distracted from his work since his departure, much to the amusement of the branch management. After all, the chairman had never been distracted before!
After hanging up the video, Matthew pinched his eyebrows irritably. Could Blanca handle it herself this time?
She’d better can.
Matthew played with his pen and stared quietly at his phone, his face clouded with gloom. No one knew what he was thinking.
