Please Be Gentle With Me Mr Grant novel Chapter 226

Seeing her attitude suddenly cooled down, Matthew felt a little strange in his heart.

“Do you really want to know about your background?” Matthew looked at her keeping her head down, like a primary school student being reprimanded by a teacher. But looking at her like this, he actually wanted to comfort her inexplicably. Matthew wanted to bring her into his arms to gently soothe her.

But he didn’t do so.

"Well, I lived with my grandmother when I was very young. The other kids have their parents, but I don’t. They said I was a wild child, saying I had no parents.” Blanca sneered at herself. It was as if those memories were flaring their teeth and claws attacking her. She was saying so, and her nasal sound was a bit heavy. She sniffed, not wanting Matthew to see her grievances, “Matthew, I don’t need anything from you, because I know that you businessmen value benefits and profits. You would never do things that are not profitable, so I am willing to work with you.”

Blanca said very calmly, but Matthew didn’t think he could bear it.

She was just a girl in her early twenties, why would there be desolation in her eyes?

“Alright? I will work with you.” Blanca smiled, “I promise I will follow your lead, to shield those bad romances from you, to do whatever you want me to do, even... even in bed.” Saying so, shyness flashed through Blanca’s face but faded away shortly afterward. She was all smiley again, “Is that OK?”

With a pleading tone, she was nothing more than trying to find out her own background. She generously admitted, concealed her purpose without hesitation, and was even willing to offer to make other deals.

Matthew suddenly became a little angry. If it was other men sitting next to Blanca now, would she also do the same? In order to investigate your own background, would you use your own body as a price in exchange?

The more Matthew thought about it, the worse he resisted it.

But somehow Matthew felt lucky. He felt lucky that it was himself who had been by her side.

“You will follow my lead from now on?”
