The marriage wasn’t going through no matter what now. She wasn’t going to treat her life so casually.
As for the scandal, there was really no need to worry. When she returned to the little town she was from, nobody would have guessed that she was the one who’d had relations with Matthew Grant the chairman of the Empire Group.
And she couldn’t take the money either.
It wasn’t that she was such an upstanding person, but that the moment Matthew found she’d run away, he could notify the banks and nullify the check, which would then be as good as wastepaper in Blanca’s hands.
Blanca lowered her head and was jogging away when she stumbled into a man in her commotion.
“Oh, sorry…” she said, trying to go around him.
“Blanca?! You really are in Oakshire!” the man spoke in surprise.
Lifting her head, Blanca saw two sickening faces.
Her ex-boyfriend Todd Small and her former best friend Kylie Farley.
Blanca had liked Todd once, but after half a year, she found out that he had been cheating on her with her supposed best friend Kylie, going at it right behind her back and treating her like an idiot for the thrills.
It had been a year since then, but seeing those two asshats still made Blanca feel ill.
Kylie put on an expression of feigned pity and said simperingly, “I saw the news, Blanca. You were the girl who had the one-night-stand and seduced the young master of the Grant family, right? Tsk tsk, why go so far? Even if I and Todd had hurt you, you can’t debase yourself like that…”
“Are you done with the bullshit? If you are, please be a good bitch and move aside,” Blanca snarled.
Kylie’s face changed, and she scoffed. “We’ll see who’s the bitch going forward. I’m getting married with Todd today, so I won’t argue with you.”
She placed special emphasis on the word “married”, trying to jab Blanca.
