Mary didn’t think it was okay, but she didn’t dare say anything.
Lisa looked at the clothes Blanca had just taken off, staring into space, in somewhat of a daze. That high and mighty man…
She’d followed him for five years and taken care of everything in his life. Even buying him clothes and taking him meals. She’d done it all, and she thought she’d be the one to keep doing it.
Then a certain Blanca Roach had appeared!
Forget taking Mr. Grant lunch, she was out going on mall dates with him!
Jealousy consumed her like a raging fire, but Lisa had forgotten that it was normal for a married couple to do this sort of thing. Lisa shot a look at Mary, who nodded and slunk out.
Blanca looked at the navy-blue dress and felt her eyes light up. Clothes this exquisite… had to be worth a fortune, right?
Her pale hands stroked the cloth. She stripped and carefully stepped into the clothes.
But when she was preparing to pull the zipper, she found… it was broken?
“Miss Anderson? Miss Anderson, are you out there?”
Blanca called for her twice but nobody responded out there. She saw there was a white blouse in the dressing room. Someone had probably forgot it here. She covered her shoulders with the blouse, lifted her skirt, and went out. “Miss Anderson, the zipper on this seems like it’s… Matthew, what are you doing here?”
Blanca was lifting her dress and hadn’t even finished when she saw Matthew walking in from the doorway. His expression was ugly. Curtis, following behind him, saw Blanca there and immediately looked shocked.
Not understanding the situation, Blanca looked at the pair. Matthew strode at her, his face darkening, teeth almost clacking audibly against each other. “Who told you to lay your hands on these clothes?”
