Blanca looked up at him and felt something warm in her heart.

She felt that the hard feelings of being isolated, trashed and neglected suddenly had gone away.

She was not alone.

Blanca’s eyes got wet and she looked away, failing to hide the smile on her face. She stood straight confidently.

“Blanca, no one can treat you like that,” Matthew whispered to her, “except for me.”

He took a deep breath and calmed down. He looked at Blanca gently, “Well, love is love. No one can explain it.”
