Matthew walked over. He didn’t seem to notice the subtle change at the table, but he didn’t continue to eat either.
Blanca hoped he would say something, but he didn’t.
The tension she felt was almost suffocating.
“Why don’t you eat?” Matthew finally noticed the nearly rigid atmosphere and he asked.
Blanca didn’t want to be embarrassed in front of Matthew, so she just said, “I’m full. Let’s go,” She wanted to go back early and ask Matthew what exactly he meant, but it was not good to ask when Louise was also there.
“Okay.”
Matthew was never picky about eating, but he was used to eating what Mrs. Brown cooked, so everyone thought he only ate what Mrs. Brown cooked, and he had never denied it.
For him, food only existed to fill his stomach.
When they were just about to get up, a woman suddenly rushed over and came straight towards Blanca!
“Ah!”
Almost instantly, Blanca had already caught that woman.
What a joke!
After living in the slums for so long, could she survive in society without some skills?
Blanca instantly felt an object running towards her in almost three seconds. Then she grabbed the woman’s arm quickly until she cried out, “Ah, ah, ah, it hurts. Let me go!”
“It’s you?”
How could it be Mary?
Blanca looked at the woman covering her arm in front of her with some surprise. Her face was pale, her hair was messy, and even her clothes seemed to have not been washed for several days.
