Blanca looked at Matthew with particular displeasure. He had known all of this already but he hadn’t warned her in advance. He was the one who made her totally blindsided.

“Even if I told you in advance, what else could you do?” said Matthew contemptuously, not looking up from his computer.

Upon hearing this, Blanca was too incensed to speak and turned scarlet with suppressed rage. “You don’t respect me enough, Matthew!” Blanca said at last.

At this moment, Matthew finished his work and closed the laptop. His movement was full of grace. “But the question is, what do you think the respect should be?” said Matthew casually.
