Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 232

Nadine always thought Sean was easy to placate. With a kiss, a loving hug, and a few comforting words, he'd give in. But this time, she was wrong.

Instead of changing the subject, Sean looked at her seriously. "Mommy, you and Daddy used to get along well. What changed? And who is Ms. Sawyer? Why does she influence Daddy so much?"

Nadine was about to say, "You're too young to understand adult matters", but Sean cut her off. "Mommy, stop saying I'm a kid who doesn't understand adult things. I might not understand, but I have eyes!

"Last night, I saw Daddy carry you to bed. You were heavy and sound asleep, and he didn't mind. He even told me not to wake you."

Nadine couldn't help but laugh at his words. What did he mean? She was heavy? She was five feet five inches tall and barely over a hundred pounds! How did she become a pig in his eyes?

And "didn't mind"? Did Sean secretly hate her?

"Sean Hamilton, I'm telling you again. You don't need to worry about adult matters." She couldn't answer his questions, so she had to assert her authority.

But Sean wasn't having it. He persisted. "No! Mommy, I'm not a baby anymore. I just want our family to live together and be with Grandpa Adam. Why can't you do that? Why do you have to divorce Daddy?"

His questions gave Nadine a headache. She even doubted if this child was really hers. How could he be so protective of Brad?

After taking a deep breath, she calmed down and hugged him gently. "Let me ask you something. You really like your deskmate Keira, right? What if she stops liking you and likes another boy? Would you still want to play with her?"
