Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 231

Kids in this generation knew a lot more than kids in those days. Since Sean started kindergarten, he often interacted with his classmates and became particularly interested in their parents' relationship.

One of his friends told him, "If your parents really love each other, they'll definitely sleep in the same bed and not in separate rooms."

Another friend said, "Sometimes, my parents' love for each other makes me doubt my existence. My dad barely looks at me when he sees my mom."

After hearing these things over and over, Sean started to understand more.

For example… Last night, he had deliberately created an opportunity for Brad and Nadine to be together, hoping they wouldn't get a divorce.

His deskmate, Keira, had mentioned, "Kids from divorced families usually aren't happy. Moms get new husbands, and dads get new wives. Once they get a stepmom, even their biological dad will turn into a stepdad."

Since hearing that, Sean had desperately wanted his parents to reconcile. Seeing Brad and Nadine sleeping in the same room, he got up early just to see if they were affectionate toward each other.

Nadine, noticing Sean's inquisitive expression, felt like something had happened while she was asleep that she wasn't aware of.

She asked Sean, "What do you mean we slept together last night? I already told you. Brad and I are separating. How could we still be sleeping together?"

Last night, she had lost control of her emotions, teetering on the edge of a breakdown. She remembered doing a lot of crazy things but had no recollection of what happened afterward.

No matter how hard she tried to recall the events of last night, all she could remember was Brad gripping her chin to stop her from going berserk in the storage room.

Disheartened that his effort to create a chance for them was wasted, Sean slumped against Nadine like a deflated balloon.
